[ If he's willing...? Of course he's willing. Why wouldn't he be? Carolina requesting information trumps North's desire for secrecy any day.

[ For the second time since she arrived on Thisavrou, she nearly drops her TAB as she hears a voice she never thought she'd hear again. Her response is delayed as she calls York but eventually she does reply. Her voice is steady even if her heart is pounding in her chest. ]

[ Like Carolina, York's not trying to hide here. He's not even armored on the vid call, and he looks shaken. Carolina's already messaged him and said it was Maine -- Maine, that he spoke, that it was really him. ]

[ There's a very significant delay before Maine responds. York looking shaken is one thing. York with a massive scar on the left side of his face and a completely white left eye is ... something else.

[ He grunts in acknowledgment. The Boss Voice doesn't surprise him at all. She's his leader. And, as far as he's concerned, they still have a mission to accomplish.

[ After letting North know where he's going (meaning he says, "Carolina," and North gets the picture), Maine does move to an area where he'll be easier to find. Not that he's hard to miss, wherever he is. There's a hole in his armor where the sniper's bullet struck, but no sign of blood. The Brute Shot is on his back. The silver briefcase is in his hand.

[ He stands right in the middle of everything, like an obnoxiously placed oversized statue, and he waits. ]

[ Another pause. It wouldn't be good to hear his voice. His voice is not pleasant. Maine knows this. But fine, York, here it is: ]
