Hello! Good day. I hope this message finds everyone well. I have but a simple question and thought to ask it here! Hm. Is there an organizer of events, concerts, art and historic museum showings... any of that sort in which I may look to? I am curious and most interested in learning of our collected cultures here.

You must understand, I am old.. and I think I rather like the idea of organizing events such as this!

[Nyx does huff, then he rolls his eyes, then he lies back on the exercise mat he's sitting on.]

You get to live your life here, damn it, why spend that time looking at art and museums that celebrate the past? Celebrate the present!

[ Ardyn would disagree! Nyx looked quite bothered! Huffing and puffing. Ah, but he catches view of the mat. ]

I would appreciate the present all the more knowing the past.

[Ardyn goes for a little ride as Nyx holds up the TAB while still doing his quick sit-ups. His words were punctuated by the movements as well.]

No. That's not - the point - I'm trying - to make.

[Nyx rests his arms on his knees and gives Ardyn a critical stare through the device.]

Celebrate yourself, indulge, do crazy things. Don't collect cobwebs next to an old statue.

[ Ardyn found himself nodding almost to Nyx's movements. He then stilled his head as he responded. ]

How else better to celebrate my own self than to educate myself?

[nyxus]

You're old, I get it.

[Just how old, Nyx still hasn't a clue.

He pushes himself up to stand and walks a short ways where he retrieves a small towel and he wipes down his sweaty face with it.]

But you can be old without being stale too.

Nyx, you wound me.. I assure you I am as fresh as the day I was .. born. [ He gestured to his hair. ] I take pride in my attire and take care to always be .. presentable. You never know who is watching.

[nyxus]

I'm not talking about your looks. You look fine.

But I'm the one watching right now.

[Nyx grabbed a bottle of water which was out of sight and took a long gulp of it, letting out a loud breath after.]

And I'm telling you, that list sounds stale.

Expose me then, to a grander list. Nyx.

[AGAIN Nyx has the thought that somehow, Ardyn can make anything sound weird. He's slightly past the point of finding him creepy, but sometimes... yeah, definitely a little off. Nyx snorts softly as he carries the TAB over to a treadmill.

While he gets the settings where he wants them, the TAB is set on the display of the machine.]

I didn't say anything about grand, but it'll be fun at least. When are you available?

[A moment later the incline rises on the treadmill and he's jogging at a very fast pace.]

[ Ardyn wonders on Nyx's workout regiment--]

At the moment, I question when it is you might be available. I rarely see you .. stagnant. [ Ardyn then wonders if that was far too revealing.. in that he creeps, which he does. ]

I will make any time available to you.

Sorry. The only publicist I knew went AWOL. I've been having to talk to the Savrii for anything.

Then it is a fine time to capitalize in such a necessary component of our social nature! I do propose I attend to this duty!

... What do you seek the Savrii for in particular?

I've been having to go to them for endorsements and promotions involving rescue programs.

Right, right.. I recall some time ago you mention such a thing. I would be most interested in that. However, first, tell me what strikes your fancy? Museums of archeology, art, concerts of strings, of brass, trips into the wild, trips into the city? What would draw your attention?

I've been to military themed museums.

And I used to go to see live music.

You've probably never heard of the U.S.O., but it was an organization that held entertainment events for American military. I'm not American, but when I was young I would do what I could to see shows when I could.

[He didn't understand any of the words to the music. Just that the soldiers seemed to be having a good time.]

Interesting.. I wonder, do you know much about the military, or organized law enforcers here? Perhaps that would be an excellent first endeavor of mine.. to also offer education to those who have come along after us, or even those long here yet still unsure!

Sadly I know next to nothing. Just that I wouldn't cross them. I have tried to figure things out.

I know a lot about the military in general, as far as my world is concerned. I have a degree in military history.

Fascinating! I would speak at lengths to you about this, if you permit it!

No reason not to permit it. I don't know what it could get you other than satisfying curiosity, but I wouldn't mind hearing your take on your own wars.

[He's been trying to keep abreast of as many military histories as possible.]

[ Ardyn gave a small nod and wondered just what this man would think of his perspective on wars.. if the psychology would be the same, the instinct, the viciousness of our human instinct. Oh! Ardyn is thrilled and his smile indicates as such! ]

Indeed.. I wonder, is it just human behavior for your experience of wars or is there a greater divinity incorporated as well? Gods, for example, they are just as fickle and demanding as I know humans to be! They are bias and selfish, a trait we humans can relate to!

No divinity at I know of. Not in my case, at least.

I think some people are just born with the need to fight, to be on the battlefield. The desire to compete and persevere even at the expense of their own life. And other people want to believe in something so much that it's worth spilling and shedding blood for.

That can be gods or people or legends. It's not always selfish. It's just often brutal and reactionary.

Yes! Indeed! I have decided to compose a project to attend to this need. Something from home, all our homes, displayed may be welcoming and encouraging for us to see. Also, to bridge the gap between ourselves and others from other worlds, to educate ourselves in one another's culture!
