Helloooooo ladies, dudes, and various other genders, identities, and lifeforms! Some of you may already know me, but for those who don't, my name is Lance, and today I am comin' at you with some ice breakers! A couple of my friends who shall remain nameless but know who they are are really bad at socializing and are in need of new friends. And I figure, if they are, there's gotta be other people out there who are just as bad, right?

So here's the deal! I'm gonna read some questions, and you guys can answer them! And then you gotta talk to two people you don't already know. I don't count, but talk to me anyway!

Go into as much detail with these as you can want, because they're gonna help you make new friends.

[ He clears his throat, and starts reading. ]

Number one! If you were a vegetable, what vegetable would you be?
Number two, if you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Three, what are your top ten favorite foods?
Four, share a description of your favorite material object that you already own, and share why it's important to you.
Annnd five! What color do you think best represents you, and how does being that color make you feel?

[ He takes a second to copy and paste the same questions in a text format along with his video for ease of answering, then grins into the camera again. ]

Everyone got that? Cool, now go meet somebody!

[ He chews his lip, genuinely thinking hard about it for a minute. ]

Okay, you know when you look out into space, when we're in the Castle, and it's just like... forever, stretched out in front of you? That makes me feel the same way as looking out over the ocean.

[ Keith looks thoughtful, too. Lance being serious like this is... he's seen it before, but it's never anything but strange. ]

Yeah, okay. I get that. The desert was kinda like that too, but— not always in a good way. Space is better.

Yeah, okay, you do get what I mean. [ He looks relieved, and maybe a little embarrassed. ] Space makes me miss the ocean, though.

[ Keith huffs quietly. ]

Sounds like you'll never be happy.

Guess not, huh?

[ He grins, a little rueful, but then turns it sly. ]

Unless I retire to the mermaid planet when everything's done and over with, I guess. Lots to be happy about there.

[ Aaand the moment's gone. ]

Yeah, yeah. Best of both worlds.

Exactly!

[ If Keith were a little better at social cues, it'd probably be clearer that Lance is faking some of the enthusiasm here. It's like he just suddenly remembered this is on a public feed. ]

I'm sure they'll welcome you with open... fins.

Of course they will.

Nah, I can file them away for later. Also, I want to get you to actually answer the third question. You can come up with more than one food!

Ten is too many. Who has ten favorite foods?

Lots of people. You can't name ten things you like eating?

That's not what you asked. You said top ten favorite.

If you can't even think of one favorite, I think the first ten things you can think of that you like probably count.

[ He frowns, more thoughtful than annoyed, counting on his fingers. ]

Chili. Lucky Charms. Strawberry shortcake. Barbecue chicken and pineapple pizza. Curly fries... that's five. Hot wings. Chicken enchiladas. French toast. And... Dr. Pepper.

[ Five fingers held out again, he turns his hand back and forth, and then shrugs as he lowers it. ]

And I already said one before, so. That's ten foods I miss, anyway.
