okay, first thing's first--

[There are a few pictures of Kurt, a wide grin spread across his face, his head turned this way and that to show off his new haircut. The bangs are done in an up-style for the moment, streaked with a vibrant new shade of blue.]

i finally got my hair cut off after letting it grow for far too long.

look at this!!

[The TAB switches to video, although there's nothing to see right away. After a couple of minutes, an unfamiliar teen steps into view, peering into the lens of the camera with bright pastel green eyes. Except, this kid definitely has the same hair that Kurt was showing off only a bit ago and when he speaks:]

Pretty cool, ja?

[That accent is unmistakable and if that's not enough to ruin the gimmick, the left side of of his face ripples, fading back to a cobalt skin-tone and a single golden eye, which closes in a wink before returning back to the normal 'human' look.] I can shapeshift!

The Ingress made me into a child for a while too. I've never even been a child.

Anyway, someone answered some questions about these abilities when I made that post, so hopefully her suggestions help.

I was created. The body I live in was made in the Ingress. I still don't know how or why.

I will keep that in mind, about contacting them. I know Charles well,
but he left and came back and ever since then he doesn't know me.

'created?' did the people of thisavrou create you entirely or just the body?

don't feel bad about that. the first time i arrived, he didn't know who i was and after we'd finally began to build a friendship again, he disappeared then returned with no knowledge of that, either.

i'm sure he's more than willing to befriend you once more.

I'm an AI. I was made in a lab and had always lived in a robot where I came from. The Ingress seems to have made me a clone body on its own. No one knows what happened.

And I think so, about Charles. He's a good one. He was teasing me already within minutes of meeting me again. I think it'll be okay.

he's an extremely good man who wouldn't deliberately hurt anyone. that sounds like charles, haha.

A robot body is an actual body, you know.

I can't punch as hard or do the things I'm used to in this body, but it has its benefits. Mainly because I'm in a relationship.

[ She says, trying not to get too personal about it, of course! ]

And yeah. I think this Charles is very much the same man as the one I knew.

yes, i would imagine having a ... fleshy body would be better for a relationship? i'm not usually worrying about how hard i can punch, though.

[He'd like to ask more about 'relationships,' but he and Tex have only just met.]

Heh, well, I've used that word, crazily enough. He hasn't, but he feels it.

sometimes, it's harder for other people to say it. as long as he feels it, i'd use the word.

I'm honestly not the kind of person who would say it much. He knows it already, I don't need to keep going on about it.

And I don't think it's hard for him, he just has different ways of expressing things. Honestly, he pretty much admitted it first, he just used the word 'adore' instead.

[ She's not sure how this conversation became about her love life, but she doesn't mind sharing a bit about it. If it gets too personal, though, she's liable to redirect it. ]

[Because Kurt is far too nosy for his own good, but it's that inquisitiveness that has helped him in the long run, aided in his acquirement of friends, even though it can be obnoxious to some people.]

that makes sense.
to not keep going on about it, i mean. saying 'i love you' is nice to hear, but if someone cares about you, it shouldn't be hard to remember.

'adore' is a good word, too. a perfectly acceptable way of telling someone just how much you cherish them.

But it's that exact situation that makes it that I don't want this telepathy. I trust him, and if he has secrets, I know it's for a reason. I don't want to get intrusive, especially on accident.

ohhh! [That's the sound of a lightbulb turning on.]

if you've already spoken with a telepath, asking them how to block other people's thoughts might be a good first choice. we don't know how long our new powers might last and if they're permanent, well ... you can't avoid him forever.

Yeah, that's true. I'm going out of town for a few days though. Hopefully I have it more under control by the time I get back.

are you just going out of town or are you going to attempt to go off planet?
