*Yawn*

[So tired. This tired young woman is slowly opening her eyes and then closing them. She doesn't know where she's at, but she feels she's not getting enough rest and curls into whatever furniture she's currently next to.

She then notices a sound and weakly opens up an eyelid to see]

'…'

'HOLY CRAP WHAT IS THIS? IS THIS THING ON?!'

[She scrambles to try fiddling with her TAB it but it then falls on the floor, and she with it thanks to her weird couch type bed having only just enough space. She then grumbles on the carpet and starts playing with it.]

*OOC: Want to shock her by saying hello? Go right ahead!

Hahaha! Yeah! I've got a whole bunch of roommates! A group of paladins and their cranky princess and another friend of mine who is a badass soldier in flying power armor! I bet you two would get along great!

Well, we've been cooking a lot of fish on account of the fact I've been fishing up a storm lately.

You know what I haven't had in ages? A good roast. Bring over something like that and I'll forge you anything you want for free!

[And she is not taking into account an old lady giving her and Darin a dirty look for yelling outside in the open.]

Still, you need money and I need a job. I can't go through life just coasting by on making roasts and getting stuff in return. WHERE CAN I GET A JOB IN THE MEANTIME?

Oh trust me, I'm good on money. In fact, I may have saved up enough to finally open up my forge again...

As for a job...well, what are your skills? Aside from being a brawling bartender??

You can do that while you take missions here and there in the meantime. The people here always need something done.

Haha, I could huh? That would be a lot easier to find a music job than starting my own bar. And like you said, I could even earn money that way to build up to one!

[Man, it's a good thinng that there's some distance between them, otherwise she might see a bit of color rushing to his cheeks at that comment (then again, he never did disable the video on his TAB...). He laughs a little sheepishly.]

Well, I did help my old man run the forge back home. I have to have some business sense, after all. But it's not so often that someone calls me out on that. Usually I'm getting yelled at when thing "mysteriously" catch on fire and I just so happen to be in the immediate vicinity.

[He says this with a cute grin, but he is completely serious.]

Well that's unfair. Not everybody is going to be perfect. Hopefully you're not facing that with other people now around here?

...Actually, I kind of deal with that exclusively around here. I kind of come from an archaic world where the most technologically advanced things are powered through elemental magic.

The first thing I did when I wound up here was start a fire because I didn't know what a computer was and how they worked.

But I'm doing a hell of a lot better now!

I'm pretty sure I'd do a really stupid thing too. This may look similar to my world, but there may be something I start a fire on as well. Don't worry, my time will come.

[A smile creeps across his face. It's warm. Somehow, that title seemed so far out of the realm of possibility for him...]

[He offers a thumbs up in response.]

[Huh, call her weird, but did something change all of a sudden? He seems...different. Nothing bad though. She likes it. She smiles back.]

Me too. I can be pretty fast and reliable too whenever you need me. I'm always here if you ever need a hand in life, Darin. Even if it's something super tiny or dumb.

[Cause Heroes do that for each other!]
