[The video clicks on to a dark-haired woman who is giving the device a slightly skeptical look. Her head his bare, but from the flashes of red and gold metal from the neck down, it’s safe to assume she’s fully armored otherwise and the helmet sits behind her, just barely in the frame. Once she notices the video is on, she gives it a tired-looking smile.] Hi. Can anyone tell me what universe this is? Nobody I talked to at the...portal seemed to know.

[The smile briefly turns into a grimace and she lifts a hand to rub her face before suddenly seeming to remember she’s still wearing her gauntlets. The hand drops back out of frame.] It should be 3490, but I can't tell if I just crossed space or hopped the multiverse or...what just happened at all. [She sighs but makes herself smile again. It's the tabloid smile. It doesn't mean much, but it does look good.]

My name is Natasha Stark, if that helps.

[There a movement like she's going to turn the video off before she pauses.] I don't suppose there's any use anyone could find for an engineer? I think better when I have something to work on. And I'd rather not just be cooped up here. Wherever here is.

Yeah, we get pulled here from different worlds. Welcome to this corner of the multiverse? [A short pause.]

I'm Natasha Romanoff. I guess this makes us first-name twins. [A small half smile as she makes that light joke.]

[Natasha blinks at the new face. Hard to mistake that hair.] Red? [But wait, Nat didn't recognize her. So...probably not the one she knows. Of course] I. Sorry, I mean. Does Black Widow mean anything to you?

["Red" is something Tony would -- probably has -- called her.

Wait.

Is this Tony's wife from some other universe, or in the future? Did Tony "playboy" (also... 'genius, billionaire, philanthropist') Stark get married?

Either way, her eyebrows shoot up.]

I'm also known as such. This is probably venturing into discussions better had in person, if you're up for that.

[Well, this Black Widow isn't any less cagey than the one she knows. It's probably a good thing.] Fair enough. Where to?

[So cagey.

She taps out coordinates to a cafe in Region 1 - because honestly she could also use some coffee - and attaches it in a text.]

Does that work? It's a cafe.

[Through Extremis, the coordinates flash briefly behind her eyes and then align neatly with the map she's been provided. And Natasha smiles.] That will work. I'll head over there now.

It's not any universe I was familiar with, previously. Sorry I can't be of more help.

[Armor, you say? Fareeha is definitely interested. She's not wearing hers presently, but bits of the brilliant blue Raptora suit might be visible just at the edge of the screen.]

I know an engineer. He upgraded my suit for me since I've arrived. What are you looking to get worked on?

[Natasha's smile goes slightly wry.] Less needing something to get worked on and more looking for work. I am an engineer. I just...it would be nice to have something to focus on.

[She chuckles.]

I can get behind that sentiment. What sort of work have you done in the past?

Uhm. Pretty much any kind of engineering you can think of? Computer, mechanical, structural, electrical. Some inventing. And I'm pretty good at running businesses, but I get the feeling that's going to be less useful here.

You'd be surprised - considering we're in charge of making our own salaries here, and not everyone is versed in bookkeeping or how to run a business in the first place, you might actually get some traction out of that skill.

But the engineering ... I would be interested in talking shop with you sometime. I'm not one myself but I own a suit with was created and upgraded by good engineers; I can appreciate solid craftsmanship.

Suit, huh? [That's definitely gotten Natasha's attention. She grins.] I can safely say I've got some experience there. Talking shop sounds good. [And it would be something almost normal. Or however normal things are likely to get around here.]

Just let me know when you're free, we can meet up for coffee or something.

[She can't help a laugh] I have nothing but time at the moment.

Well, in that case; I'm off of assignment for the moment with a wealth of free time myself. How are you feeling about a late lunch?

Sounds perfect. Just let me know where I'm going.

How about here? [She includes the address of Miller's diner in Region 1, where she's been spending a lot of time recently.]

[...not another Stark. Tony's daughter from the future, perhaps? Or maybe she's from the same world as Billy.]

Have you heard of the Avengers?

[There's a question that makes her start in surprise. And then give an amused huff.] I'd say so. I helped found them, after all.

[But something about it has Natasha looking closer. Something about the way the woman asked, and the way she's holding herself. And then her eyes widen suddenly.] Wanda?

...yes?

[Wanda can't help but do a double take. What? There's another version of their world where 'Tony' is 'Natasha?']

[Well that's...awkward. Natasha hasn't actually seen Wanda -- her Wanda -- since the destruction of the mansion. And this clearly isn't the same woman.

Natasha lets out a careful breath.] I'm guessing this is more multiverse stuff, but I've known...a version of you for a long time. Still the Scarlet Witch, right?

[Surprisingly, this isn't the most awkward multiverse situation Wanda's needed to handle. The Ingress is apparently very fond of messing with their worlds.]

I am, but maybe not the same way you know her.

It's complicated.

[It pulls a soft but genuine laugh out of Natasha.] It usually is. But it's good to see you.

[And despite herself, Wanda smiles. She's not entirely sure what's going on, but she certainly didn't expect any Stark to be like this. She is already 100% less annoying than Tony.]

If you have questions, I can try to answer them. The Ingress on the ship took me a year and a half ago.

Honestly, I'm not sure where to start. [She smiles wryly] But this is just a thing that happens? People go through a portal and wind up here?

Not usually. There wasn't a portal at home, I was just...there one minute, here the next.

Really? I guess I got lucky in knowing I was heading towards an anomaly, then. I hope Reed at least managed to get some readings out of it.

Do you think he will find us?

Reed? He is kind of the authority on multiverse insanity. At least until he gets distracted by the next shiny equation. It's kind of a toss up.

Do you think we need to be found?

We can't leave whenever we want to. We have to wait for them to find our universe's "frequency."

Who's 'them'?

The Savrii. The people who built the Ingress.

So it was an accident that got us all here? Or an "accident", at least.

Another group of scientists broke every Ingress. It was an accident, I think. But they were playing with energy they didn't understand.

And even the Savrii haven't been able to stop it.

Ah. Well that's at least somewhat familiar. People playing with things they don't understand seems to be universal.

There's something else you should know. Something maybe too familiar.

[Wanda's not really sure she's the best one to be explaining this (or in any position to talk since she and the other Wanda seem to have come to the unspoken understanding that avoiding each other is probably for the best), but here goes nothing.

And since she's about to drop a bit of a bombshell, Wanda switches the feed to private. This isn't something everyone needs to see.]

There's another Stark here, the Iron Man from my world.

[Natasha opens her mouth and then closes it again. If that Stark is known and is still Iron Man...Well. That's different.] I'm guessing he's not a Natasha, then.

No. Tony Stark.

[She smiles apologetically. It's a lot and she knows it.]

The Ingress seems to 'like' our world too much. There are people from at least three other versions of our world who have been brought here.

[Tony Stark. Natasha can only imagine how thrilled that Howard must have been. But Wanda seems a little anxious, and she definitely doesn't need to deal with Natasha's issues, so she just smiles.] Well, as long as he's not trying to take over or destroy the world, I've probably seen weirder. We'll just have to assume that accidentally coming into contact won't cause a paradox or anything.

Three versions of your world?

I think your version of our world is different from Peter's or Billy's. Nothing bad has happened to us from being together so far.

I was mostly joking about the paradox. That's only for temporal shifts. [She's completely straight-faced now, though.]

I guess that shouldn't surprise me too much. The multiverse isn't my strongest suit, but from what I gather it's supposed to be infinite possibilities. Butterfly Effect and all.

It is interesting that there are so many from similar ones, though. Can I ask who else?
