She'd commiserated with Reinhardt, and while it helped to have someone that understood the level of hurt, she wasn't keen on stewing in it. So, she did what she knew best when dealing with such heavy emotional things; block it out and throw herself into work.]

I wanted to let you all know I am taking a security contract that will be taking me off planet for a couple weeks and requires limited contact as per NDA. I apologize if I have not had a chance to catch up with you lately; consider this an open invitation for lunch, dinner, or drinks, either in the next couple days before I head out, or when I return.

[Maybe you'd prefer to just talk to her in person, or you happen to run into her somewhere around Kauto. Those who live in or frequent Lion House will find her packing things for an extended journey (although even then she doesn't need much). When she needs a break from that, she'll relax and what has become her favorite little cafe; a family establishment held on the patio of a bungalow just a few blocks from her own house. Otherwise, feel free to suggest where else they might meet.]

[Fareeha looks up and smiles when she hears Allura. She looks a little worn, considering everything she's had to deal with lately and the emotional wear it's had, but she's happy to see one of her housemates. She finishes folding a pair of slacks and stacks them in her suitcase.]

I appreciate the thought, but I cannot imagine my employers would be too happy having a second escort to feed. I'll be alright.

Ah, of course. It's still easy to forget how essential money is, now.

[But that look is one that Allura knows all too well. Not at the breaking point, not yet... but worn, fraying at the edges. And yet Fareeha is heading off for more work. Either this "job" is actually a vacation, or the two have more in common than she realized.]

I'll take your word for it, since I'm sure anything more would also violate that NDA. [... although.] Have they told you much about the job, or are they saving most of the details for when you arrive?

The jobs I've had usually provided room and board. I'm glad we were able to buy a house outright and not worry about a monthly rent, but budgeting for my own groceries and toiletries is a new challenge.

[Although not an overly difficult one; Fareeha isn't exactly a big spender.]

I've got enough information to be comfortable taking the contract. [She assures Allura, pulling out another pair of slacks and shaking them loose of wrinkles.]

[Fortunately, it's not a 'live or die' sort of discussion, but it's a identity-challenging conundrum that's been eating away at her since her meeting with Jack and Ana. She arrives looking as put together as usual, except for a certain weariness in her face. She smiles when she sees him, though.]

[There's only a couple of people in at the moment, because it's an odd hour of the day and they're doing the thing where someone occupies a booth long after the dishes are taken away to enjoy a good conversation and five hundred refills of coffee or water or whatever else they are drinking.]

[Miller's occupying his time by going over a ledger right there at the bare, using the tab's laser display function to look at the numbers as trailed lights on the smooth surface in front of him. And when she comes in, he smiles a little. It's a sort of drained tight-lipped thing. But nothing particularly wrong with it.]

I kept my schedule open. So that free meal- [he hands her a menu] -have at it. I want to wish you a good trip.

[It seems like everyone is dealing with some sort of stress lately. She takes the menu as she slides into a seat.]

Thank you. I'm not particularly hungry right now but it'd be nice to have something to nibble at. [She orders the cucumber salad with some sencha tea for the moment, and then closes the menu and sets it aside.] If everything alright? You looked a little stressed going over those numbers.
