(no subject)

[The network does start, showing the face of a man who looks to be in his late teens to his early twenties. His face is sun-darkened, his hair dark, his shirt open at the neck, and there is a gleam of gold in his ears. His general air is seemingly playful, as if he is a man that could easily laugh.

Yet the most striking thing about him likely are his eyes. One is gold, and the other silver. He raises an eyebrow a touch, and his mouth shifts into the ghost of a smirk. His voice is gravelly, deep, and there is perhaps a slight lilt to it, when he does finally speak.]

Ah. So it is as simple as the push of a button.

[Although given the look that he is offering, it is fairly clear that Po is not familiar with the item in question.]

When I once said I was more restless than my brothers, I never meant to end up in another universe. The very notion has never once crossed my mind. Rather, it simply meant I preferred to go along my way as I would, through the Seven Kingdoms, perhaps a bit further, if the fancy ever took. Yet, here I am, and I should properly introduce myself.

[There is a motion, and he does come across as quite a social creature, as he bows to the screen.]

Prince Greening Grandemalion of Lienid, Po, to my friends, at your service. I will completely forgive you if you have not heard of my little kingdom. I can say that this little item- a TAB- is quite foreign and unknown, although it does seem to be quite handy. But, I will be more than happy to tell you about mine, if you tell me about yours.

[That light dancing back in his eyes.]

Whether island, city, farmstead... Space ship? Do many people come from worlds with this means of travel?

That's interesting. [He pauses, though it's apparent he's amused by the thought.] You're the first I've come across that hails from Katsa's world.

So there's the Middluns and Lienid. What are the other kingdoms, and what are they like?

[He honestly can't help but grin and sound pleased. Arno knows how Katsa is- so for her to consider him a friend means much more to the Frenchman than Po may understand.]

Yours as well. I'm Arno.

[He pauses.] They sound similar to France, though I can't say for sure that every part of the country has what you say the other kingdoms do. If we're talking about my planet, however- then I'm sure you'll find all of those landscapes and more across the world.

[Arno thinks for a moment to describe how France is.]

France is my country- though if we're getting technical, I suppose it could be considered a kingdom as we still have a king and queen.

Depending on how the people feel, however- I'm not exactly sure how long we'll keep them.

[He chuckles.] They do, but...

The best way to describe our current affair is that no one wants a monarchy in France anymore. The poor and middle classes are tired of struggling. As a result, there's been revolution in France for almost three years now. King Louis XVI and his queen, Marie Antoinette, aren't exactly willing to go out and see people or discuss much because of this.

Essentially. [He pauses, thinking.] I believe the Americans call it "by the people, for the people." A democracy. That is what France wants.

It would mean all people would be on equal footing- and not everyone is for that idea. The nobles are highly spoken against it.

Everyone voices their opinion and I believe it's put up to a vote. I'm not a man who knows politics, unfortunately.

[He balks a little at the latter part of Po's statement, though.] Gods, no. If that were the case, France may never end her revolution. I know some people have tried to do as they please, and it's only ended terribly- either in murder, rioting, or worse.

[He's speaking about democracy to a prince, and honestly has no clue how ironic it is. Arno pls.]
