[ As the TAB's video feed switches on, the only thing in view is one blue eye, as someone gets a closer look at the device before he realizes it's actually already recording. ]

—Whoa, okay, is this thing on now? I think it's on. [ Lance pulls back from the camera and steps back, clearly leaving it balanced on something as he stands back far enough to be beside Keith, both of them clearly in view.]

I'm Lance. Pilot of the blue lion, Paladin of Voltron, master sharpshooter, [ He pauses for a moment to make double fingerguns at the camera. ] and kind of a big deal. [ He elbows Keith, who tenses and glares back at him. Keith obviously isn’t thrilled about being on camera or about being elbowed on camera, but he elbows Lance right back, as subtly as he can (not very). ]

And I’m Keith. Also a Paladin of Voltron. If that means anything to any of you, contact us.

[ Lance elbows him back again, and it's really unsightly how these two are both all sharp angles. It's a wonder no one's getting stabbed. ] Dude, come on, you gotta give a better introduction than that! That's super lame.

Finger guns are super lame! [ ELBOW. ] It was concise.

[ ELBOW. ] Your face is concise!

That doesn’t even make sense! And stop elbowing me! [ ELBOWS. TWICE. Lance tries to get out of the way of Keith's flurry of furious elbows, but only succeeds in knocking down whatever it was his TAB was balanced on, the video remaining on as it tumbles down and settles on a view of their feet. After a moment of not moving, Lance leans down to peer into the camera again.]

—Okay, so uh, we're gonna go, but first, um… no one's happened to see any giant robot cats around, have you?

[It probably speaks literal volumes about life, the universe, and everything, that his first instinct is just:]

Lance. Keith. Can you please --

[Hold up. Just a minute. The irritated look on his face just completely wipes away, and he perks up. Laughing. He's actually laughing.]

-- You guys never change, do you?

I thought you weren't going to turn up at this point. It's about time.

[ Shiro's voice is enough to cut immediately through whatever is left of the tussle he's been having with Keith. Lance's eyes immediately go wide as he stares at the video. ]

Shiro?

You got it.

[There's a little wave with his good hand. The other, the metal one, still in a sling.]

We're all here. Don't worry -- even Allura. You guys aren't on your own.

[Of course it's Lance and Keith. Of course they show up. Of course they show up together, and of course they're fighting with each other from the get-go. When it comes to those two, what else is new?]

Could you two cut it out for five seconds just so someone can tell you where to go?

[Pidge is looking very, very annoyed on the video feed reply that's sent back to them. Though it's definitely telling that it's not as bad as it might be ordinarily. It's been a long time since the team's been back together as far as Pidge is concerned, and even after Hunk had shown up from the apparent future with the news that everyone had made it out of the corrupted wormhole, it's kind of a relief to actually see them in one piece.]

And don't break your TAB, we might not have what we need to fix it.

Shiro?

[ Keith goes from cranky at Lance to dumbstruck in an instant, staring wide-eyed into the camera for long, long seconds. Shiro's here. He's alive. He's— laughing? ]

You're here?

[He gets the same one-handed greeting as Lance did. Still grinning. It really is good to see them.]

[Acting like it's totally normal to be having this conversation.]

Yeah, we all are. Me, Pidge, Hunk and Allura. You guys were the missing pieces.

Anyone given you an update on what's happening yet?

What— How— You were just—

[ Lance is not a man with a solid grasp on the concept of complete sentences just now, sorry Shiro. ]

Pidge!

[ It hasn't been long for Keith at all, but it's been incredibly stressful. And being dragged halfway across the universe only to see a familiar face... well, it's nice. ]

... It's good to see you. [ A pause, and he almost manages to resist, but: ] I was trying to be professional.

[Okay, that kind of gets the corner of her lip to turn upward in a smile, just a little bit. Because it is good to see Keith again. And Lance, too.] It's been a while. For us, anyway.

And I would've thought you'd have figured out by now that Lance doesn't do professional.

Uh...

[ Okay, Keith, you can do this. Keep it together. God, but he's so bad at keeping up a poker face. ]

Kind of. Someone gave me the rundown when I arrived, but I wasn't exactly... I mean... it's a lot to process.

[... did she already use this line on one other others? Shiro, or something? Whatever, it's still the best response to asking if Voltron means anything to them:]

It means everything to some of us.

It's been too long, Lance. [And then, after a five-second pause for maximum awkward, because Hunk has told her some crazy things that sound too outlandish and incomprehensible to be true, but are still super awkward to even consider...] ... and Keith.

[So these are the infamous Keith and Lance that Darin's heard so much about. Well, first thing's first:]

There's literally nothing wrong with fingerguns. Fingerguns are a stylistic way to gesture at someone and go 'hey guys, you're awesome because you're about to get to know me.'

Which is why, I'm firing back with the same fingerguns. No need to fight, I'm here to be pals with the both of you. And speaking of, I just happen to know the rest of your team.

Whoa, Pidge? How are you here, too?

[ He's less startled to see her than he is Shiro, but he's still confused. ]

I mean, not that it's not good to see you?

[She lets out a little sigh, reaching up to adjust her glasses on her face and pointedly ignore the fact that Lance is being weird (as usual).]

Same way you're here. Through the Ingress. Didn't someone give you the rundown when you showed up?

Well. I'm an optimist.

[ Ha ha. ]

[ He's so confused, but delighted as ever to see Allura. Delighted enough, in fact, to completely miss that she's being weird to Keith. ]

I mean, I only just saw you before I woke up here, but any time apart is too long, right?

[FOCUSING ON THE IMPORTANT STUFF HERE]

[At first she raises an eyebrow for that comment, because come on, Keith. And then she moves on with a small shrug, head tilting slightly.]

A few months. Three months, I think? It's hard to keep track.

[And then, suddenly, her eyes just go wide and she blinks slowly.] ..Wait- Did you just make a joke?

I never thought the space-time continuum could make things so confusing...

No, Lance. It has been far longer than that, at least on this side of the Ingress.

Come now, children. It would be much better to work together than it would be to elbow each other in the face. Take it from an old lady when I tell you that.

[Wait wait, hold the phone, is that---]

Keith? Lance?

[Hunk lets out a laugh, then a whoop. He actually physically jumps up and pumps his fist in the air.]

Man, I'd recognize that arguing anywhere! It's so great to see you guys!

[ Considering where they'd last left off, Keith certainly doesn't miss the comparatively icy reception. His brows knit, and he frowns uncertainly. Hadn't they made up? He thought... ]

Princess. I'm sorry we're late. Apparently.

Please don't encourage him.
