—What?
[ It's a question that's both disbelieving and demanding, Katsa's voice just a little more high-pitched than she usually ever speaks. Of course, since this is her first time using the TAB and among her first days in Thisavrou, it's not a detail that too many people should recognize, but still. Squeaky.
It's especially obvious once she continues speaking—lower, but no less demanding, with the look and tone of someone who's accustomed to getting answers when she asks them. ]
Is it a common welcome here, then, to offer some sort of poor beast's heart as a gift? Or does someone imagine they'll disturb others for amusement? A gift from a king, perhaps?

Yes. Well. Uncleaned animal organs do tend to be rather disgusting. I suppose the question is whether or not it's meant to be appealing, for I'd like a word either way with the man responsible.

[He's wondering if it's a sort of you're unwanted here warning.]

And which are you?

Crew from the Moira. I was on the ship for ten months before it crashed.
[Entirely too long for his liking.]

[ Ten months, to Katsa, is almost unsurprising—even tame. She'll be shocked if she's here for any less than that. Information about a crash, however, has her visibly interested, and she starts with surprise. ]
When? How? Were there deaths?

[He's still convinced that one of his close friends died in the disaster. He never found any sign of him.]
I don't think there were many, though. No solid number was given because the Ingress was depositing and removing hostiles as the ship crashed.

I'm sorry for those who were lost. At least the number was limited, whatever it was. What sort of organism was it? How many enemies? Would it be possible to happen again?

He started as an Ingress scientist and things went bad for him. The time the ship was swarmed? I don't think anyone could keep count. They just kept appearing.
Not a lot of certainty, but there's not a lot in general. Hearts being pinned to doors? Sorta mild compared to some things we've seen.

With so many people from different places, I'm sure there's no way to call any one person "trustworthy" or not. Unless one is local— do those who hail from here originally mistrust those who don't? I wouldn't be surprised if they did, though we've no choice in our being here.

I don't think there's a definite way to prove trust, especially when we're so easily manipulated by different mediums available. But I don't think they dislike them. Not that I've noticed.

It must be nice to have a Grace that tells one all the answers without even needing to ask.
[ She's clearly speaking more to herself than her partner in conversation. ]
So what do you think? That it was a gift genuinely meant? Or that anyone would be right to question it?

[But he's been known to be extremely paranoid.]
