[It's set to video, but the feed is dark, and there's some kind of ambient noise. After a few moments it becomes clear that Lavellan is unknowingly covering the camera with his hand. He's talking, too, but his voice is muffled.]

Hello. Hello? Is this--is it working? I can't tell--

[Then there's actual video: it's a fuzzy closeup of Lavellan's eye, and then his ear.]

Can... anyone hear me? Am I doing this correctly?

[There's more muffled noise, like someone manhandling a microphone; the feed jostles and then goes dark again. There's what sounds like muted cursing in a foreign language (elvish, for those who recognize it) before the video ends entirely. Trying to use advanced technology is rough when you're from medieval fantasy land :(

The video is accompanied by text that looks like someone poked uncertainly at the letters of an unfamiliar keyboard with one hand. Because they did.]

[Well, depending on what Blight Zevran means could mean a lot of things.] I hope you mean the fifth Blight? That was the most recent from my perspective, but as there seems to be some time strangeness going on here it wouldn't hurt to check.

I don't know about famous. I'd certainly never heard of you before Leliana recommended your services.

Pity, but at least Leliana is a smart woman to tell you of me.

I doubt I did much, I am no Grey Warden after all.

I wouldn't know. I'm afraid I didn't do much reading on the Blight, and I don't remember much of it, either. I was rather young at the time, and my clan didn't join the defense effort.

[Is this the point? Reign it in, Lavellan.]

In any case, you'd be about a decade out of date.
