[Video, January 3rd moments before midnight] Open Magical inquiry
[Moments before the video feed comes into focus, Madison takes a deep breath to calm herself down before speaking. She is clad in her usual clothes: her Blue Mystic garb, which consists of mostly blues and blacks in a shirt and pants (with a little bit of white mixed in) as well as a black cape, armbands, and knee-high boots in a stylized blue pattern. She was somewhat nervous, but knew she had to attempt her message.]
Uh... Hi everyone. My name is Madison. To those who I haven't met, either in person or via this video device... I would like to offer some apology for not talking to most of you. I am not the most... social person around outside my friends and sister and other teammates but, that is not why I'm sending this. I'm still very new to here so I have no idea if such a thing was attempted before I arrived but... I would like to get a tally of people who are familiar with any offensive or defensive magic?
I have yet to see or meet up with anyone who could use magic here, not that having all offensive abilities or powers negated helped things. However, I come from a world where the vast majority of humans on Earth have no knowledge of magic. I guess for starters, I should mention my world. So um, my own world I guess would be fairly normal if it weren't for a couple of factors. One, every year there's a someone trying to take over the world, or destroy it, or you know bring back the dinosaur age? Fortunately, every year there's a group of superheroes dating back about seventeen years ago for each time some tries these things.
They're called Power Rangers. Each team has different configurations and motifs. My team was the only pure magic-based Ranger team. Usually teams are filled with no more than six Rangers but no less than five. Our team was one of the few that had more than five Power Rangers. As the Blue Mystic Force Ranger, I have the magic power over all liquids, primarily water. I can also turn into a giant robot Titan known as the Mystic Mermaid via a spell. Anyway if anyone has any questions for me, be sure to send me a message.
I would like to learn about some of the worlds you all come from, even if you don't have anything magic-related to discuss.

It's nice to meet you, in a manner, Madison. Call me Anders. I'm quite familiar with magic. [Though that much might be ascertained by the tame flicker of fire that springs into his palm when he tries to get a better look into a dark corner or under a desk.]
You can only shapeshift and... whatever "power over liquids" entails? I haven't heard of the latter, strictly speaking.

I can't really comment much on the other Power Rangers teams outside on news reports I've seen, though my friend Xander has met the team a year after us.

So how do you get your powers? Did you always have them and that's why you're a Ranger or did you become a Ranger and someone said 'here, have some magic powers'?
