[By now, life aboard the Moira has likely adjusted everyone to a wide variety of strange, unusual characters. Still, with the crew being more or less predominantly human, the space elf who appears on the camera may look more like a fictional character than a real member of your crew. (Like, seriously? Look at that hair of hers. No one actually has hair that nice, do they??) However, she's quite real, as a number of crew members who have already met her can attest. She speaks with confidence and a charming accent.]

Greetings, crew of the Moira. As some of you know, I was among the new arrivals to this ship several weeks ago. However, now that I've learned more about this ship [~~and she's reasonably confident that it is not secretly owned by the Galra~~] it is high time that I introduced myself to you all properly: I am Allura, princess of the planet Altea.

[She does her best to smile, albeit awkwardly, as she continues:] However, for the time being, there is little need for such formalities. I will be taking the far more modest role of this ship's Veterinary Assistant. And please be assured, I will show your pets the same attentive care and respect as I do my own.

[But her expression shifts into a more serious one.] ... that being said, I haven't entirely abandoned my previous duties, either. One doesn't merely take a vacation from their birthright, after all.

As such, I would be interested in organizing a meeting with representatives of different groups aboard the ship. Other than humans, many of the races -- and robots -- that I have seen aboard this ship are entirely new to me. And even humans are relatively new to me, rather than an old affiliation of the Alteans. As such, I would relish this opportunity to learn about your kinds, and perhaps to forge new alliances.

[She hesitates for a moment here, as if she's not sure how frank she wants to be about this next part. This seems to be well outside the Empire, but...]

Additionally, if there is anyone -- anyone -- who has previously encountered the Galra Empire -- if you have suffered at their hands, or if your home is under Emperor Zarkon's dominion -- please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Ahh, that is because it no longer exists.

[That big, broad grin turns to something sad.]

It was once meant to uphold justice, protect the innocent... but no longer.

[Oh. She just heard of Overwatch ten seconds ago, and already she looks deeply saddened by its absence.]

A group much like the Paladins of Voltron, then...? What became of it?

[Look at him perk right up right there.]

Paladins, you say? You have them, in your world?

[But then, more seriously:] It fell apart. Betrayed from the inside. A bad story, and a long one.

[She perks up, too.] Yes! Or we did, once. Altea's Paladins were the Legendary Defenders of the Universe, the pilots of the Lions who are our Guardian Spirits...

However, ours too met with tragedy. I'm afraid it's also a bad story, and one of over 10,000 years past.

[Shortly after saying that much, ~~she completely avoids the subject because who knows what happened with Zarkon and~~ her expression brightens up.]

But there may be hope for Paladins yet. The Lions have chosen new ones, a band of humans from Earth. In fact, two of them have accompanied me here.

Defenders of the universe... [He puts a huge hand to his heart, and bows his head.] I am sorry, truly, for a loss like that, my lady.

[Reinhardt, the Crusader of modern day, may be enjoying talking to an actual princess a little too much.]

Ah-hah! But that is good news! For yourself, and your Defenders! Good, good! And congratulations to you!

And for the universe as well. After all, who but a paladin could stand strong with the weight of millions of stars upon their shoulders?

[Allura seems to be enjoying this so much as well. Then again, he's an old man clad in armor -- even if he seems to be more boisterous than her father was.]

Actually, that's one reason why I want to meet with the different people here. We've been pulled away from an important fight. Until we can return to it, the least we can do is continue to help the people here, if any should need it.

I doubt many could.

[His smile is broad and genuine as anything. Excuse him if he inclines his head a little to her. It just seems like the right thing to do.]

I see. Unfortunately, I am an old man, a Crusader, and no diplomat. But! If my armor can be of service, so it will be to you.

[THIS IS LITERALLY THE DREAM RIGHT HERE. HELPING ROYALTY. BEING A KNIGHT. HONOR!!!]

I will be sure to remember that. But forgive me for saying that I hope it doesn't come to that anytime soon.

[Her eyes stray from the camera for a moment. The responses she's been getting have already started to show that there is some unrest, here. As long as it doesn't boil over...

All the more reason to keep things light and friendly.]

So, what was Overwatch like before it fell apart? Was it an order of paladins as well?

You are certainly forgiven.

[He beams at her. Charm and easy exuberance. That's Reinhardt for you.]

Ahh... it was a mighty force. Determined to uphold justice, order and protect innocent lives. Created to combat the omnics when they turned on humanity.

Oh -- Omnics. They are like robots. But not the ones here, they tell me.

More robots? Interesting. These ones already seem different than the ones I've seen before...

And the ones I know would never be the enemy of humanity, either. In fact, they were powerful guardians who worked as the partners of the paladins.

[Fighting against the Lions. That thought is horrible, in many different ways.]

What would make them turn against your people?

They were not as advanced as these. Not as sentient.

They were... meant to be assistants. Meant to serve and help humanity. Until they were infected with the "god programs".

[He shakes his head.]

I do not know much of the 'how'. Only that it happened. And we answered the call to arms.

Perhaps because they didn't enjoy being subservient to 'organics'? Some of the robots here have a problem with that...

One was so angry when I told him our Lions require a paladin as a pilot.

Hmm. It is possible. But, I can't say for sure. My specialty is the destruction of omnics.

Not their workings.

But these here... they are far different than those of my world. Much, much bigger too!

Are they? So far, the ones I've met haven't been very large. But how big do they come?

[On the other hand, though, Voltron is an unfair standard of size. ~~It's a combiner.~~

She seems hesitant to keep prying, but...]

... but, if Overwatch fell, then... what became of the war? Was it already settled by that time?

[Hopefully, it won't be too much like what happened with the Galra Empire.]

Very big! The one I fought was the size of one of the ships in cargo!

[And boy does he ever sound proud of that.]

Ahhh... we were fortunate to outlast the war. It was settled, yes. Settled and done. There were Omnics who wished for peace as well.

Seemed like a good time to fall, if it had to happen.

Really? Even the finest Altean warriors would have a hard time with an opponent of that size!

Still, that much is good to hear. No matter how much honor there may be to fall in battle, I would much rather warriors live to see that which they fought to protect once more.

Haha! I am honored to take a compliment like that.
