[the opening of the message sounds surprised, like she wasn't expecting it to work]

Ah yes--

[she hasn't really talked to a lot of people. To the few that she has spoken with, the soft voice of the sword spirit sounds different. It's missing the modulation shaky for one thing, and she seems a little disoriented. It might be easy to mistake Fi as someone new until she continues]

If there is anyone with some spare time, it would seem that I require some assistance? I am... Uncertain? To my current location, but my MID appears to be in working order. [she's not entirely sure how, considering it's not on her wrists. It doesn't matter, that she can still use it like she could when she was herself is a relief]

...

D-does anyone have any suggestions as to how to stand under one's own power?

[ooc: she floats everywhere, gravity is a novel concept to her. A companion post to her log comment]

Then...let me ask you this.

What if your Master decided to use you to do bad things? What if he chose not to seal away the darkness that threatened your world? Would you be forced to just...accept that?

That's...kind of a loaded outcome though, don't you think?

I mean, alright. You were forged with a clear purpose. So, either this Hero comes along, wields you, and saves the world, banishes the darkness, yadda yadda...

Or you...what? Just sit there? And wait? For what? Your options are to wait for a proven Hero or the world falls into darkness. And for that matter, what's the criteria for the Hero?

...I'm not trying to give you a hard time, Fi. To be honest? I've never had a conversation with a sword before and I have pretty much a million questions. You're fascinating. But...at the same time?

It's...kind of sad. I hope that your Hero is someone who can appreciate you as more than just a tool.

[Darin considers this for a long moment.]

[This didn't sit right with him, but what could he do? It wasn't really his place to meddle in the affairs of a Goddess and her realm, especially when that realm had nothing to do with him.]

[But since when has common sense ever stopped him before?]

[With a slight grin, he picks Fi up, figuring it would be easier on her at this point if he just carried her to the Med Bay.]

Yeah, I'm just full of questions. And while you think it might be okay for a weapon forged by the Goddess to just be forgotten by time, I think a weapon of your caliber deserves a little more appreciation. Lucky for you, as a master blacksmith, I'm around to help you out! Even sleeping weapons need to be cared for!

You kidding me? I'm not going to reforge you. I want to learn from you! Besides, what have you got to lose?

At least you won't be lonely.

[He laughs and offers a genuine smile as he starts to carry her towards the Med Bay.]

Any blacksmith worth his hammer wishes he could actually talk to the spirits of the weapons that they make. We could learn a lot from one another.

Well, not anymore it won't.
