[When the feed starts, Tyler isn't saying much for a second, looking like he's just making sure the MID is recording. Once he's sure, he leans back a little, clearing thinking of how exactly he should speak, before finally getting started.]

So... Hi, I'm Tyler Preman, I'm one of the new people. [Another small pause.] I was going to make something like this anyway, but after what just happened, I figured I might as well do it now.

Long story short, I'm a werewolf. For anyone that doesn't know what that is, basically, back at my home, whenever there's a full moon, I turn into a wolf. I... Realize some of you might not know what that is either, but I don't have anything to help explain on me, so try the library, it should be more helpful than me right now.

[It's clear he's not speaking as well as he'd like to, as he releases a small huff.] Either way. Odds are, the same thing will happen to me out in space and in other planets. As a rule, I'm not dangerous as a wolf, since I'm still myself, but... To put it simply, my conscious is somewhat split between me and an oddly sentient wild animal. Most of the time, it's pretty easy to shut him up or ignore him, but... When I'm a wolf, he's more likely to take over. It doesn't mean it'll happen; I've been a werewolf for 17 years, and it's only really happened a handful of times, and for a short while.

Still, if anything goes wrong, or I'm somehow affected by the moons out there differently from mine, there's a chance I might attack you if you're nearby. I usually lock myself somewhere when I'm about to turn, and I intend to do the same here, but still... Point being, if I attack and bite you, if you're human, you'll become a werewolf yourself. If you're not... [Another pause, his face telling clearly that he does not like what he's about to say.] I have no idea. There's no precedent, nothing I could draw from to tell you.

[A final pause and a sigh.] I'm sure you have questions, so go ahead and ask. I'll answer.

If by that you mean that I'd try to break out and go hunting people to bite, then no, I won't, even if I go full wolf. If I'm let alone, even at full wolf I'll just stay in my lane and wait the full moon out. [A beat.] Plus, I'll still need to sleep.

[He doesn't believe you at all.] I've seen enough movies to know that werewolves can't help but savage at least a couple villagers before someone pops up and fills them full of silver. [Okay he'd seen one movie. He was really bad at pop culture.]

... You realize, I hope, that Hollywood sits in a throne of fiction and some lies, especially if werewolves aren't a thing where you come from, right? [The temptation to ask whether he should run shirtless through small town America and fall in love with a vampire's unborn child or to join an evil wizard's plot to conquer the world is strooooooong... Too strong, even.]

Nah I'm totally thinking if you turn into a half-man half-wolf beast then you're probably gonna bounce 'bout the place trying to claw people's faces off. [Which was just another thing he was going to have to watch out for.] Besides. I've seen ferals before, they ain't exactly good at keeping the head screwed on neither. [Because people like Wolverine and Sabertooth were a bit mad in that regard.]

The half-man half-wolf thing I can do at will, when it's full moon I look like any other wolf. Only bigger.

Oh great. So instead of being the half-man half-wolf of legend you're just a big fancy animal prepped to tear people's heads from their shoulders. Totally better.

Account for the fact that me even wanting to tear anyone's head from their shoulders is really unlikely, and I'd say yeah, it is.

Well how was I supposed to know that mate. You're new. New people are always proper weird. [Because he was totally old hat at this space travel thing.] And even I wanna tear a couple blokes' heads from their shoulders... I just don't have claws fangs and a proper excessive amount of body hair.

Ain't no such thing as a totally calm person mate. [Because Ade didn't believe in that. And if he did start believing in things like calm people he sure as shit didn't trust them.]

Oh so you're a stoner? That's weird mate, ain't never met anyone who smokes it myself. What's it like? [He's instantly interested mostly because drugs are something he hasn't yet touched... but if his alcoholism was anything to judge by he'd probably be a fan.]

Eh, social and necessity stoner, really. Usually only smoke if everyone else is, or if it's near the full moon. We can get cranky just before it. As for what it feels like... [A shrug Ade can't see.] Kinda depends the person, but as a rule... Euphoria, like, just a really good feeling in general, everything's funnier than usual, helps you sleep if that's what you want... Then there's how hungry you can get, you either getting super motivated to do just one thing or nothing at all... It's a bit hard to explain.

Wait so you use it like medicine, yeah? Ain't heard of that before. [He's a lot more interested now. A little confused, definitely curious.] And they let you bring it with you, the grass? Bastards didn't even let me arrive with my cigarettes. Told me they weren't in control of what went missing but lo and behold, I spent my first couple of weeks without so much as a fag.

Just the bag I had with me, barely enough for a joint. But there's a guy here that can grow it out of that, so in the end, yeah. The only thing I lost when I got here were my keys.

Thank christ you've got yourself a drug farm going on then, if its your coping mechanism and you didn't even come prepared for a long stay... [He's kind of incredulous, side-eyeing Tyler pretty damn hard.]

What can I say, being kidnapped by aliens wasn't exactly in my plans when I went out that day. [Seriously Ade, who even prepares for that?]

Yeah but if you were going out to begin with you should at least have been prepared for something. You don't see me needing anything out here that I don't already have.

And I didn't when I was brought here. It was nowhere near a full moon, and I had just gone to a friend's place. Every day life isn't a struggle for me or any other werewolf; if it's not the full moon, I need to be more prepared for traffic than I do for anything related to being a werewolf.

Well fuck if you needa be prepared for traffic mate then you got the dodgy end of the powerful werewolf stick. I thought you lot were meant to be all powerful and strong and shit. [Which was the most covert way of trying to size the fella up.]

We're stronger than human beings, faster too, sure, but... We're not invincible or anything. Plus, capitalism is still a thing, money still makes the world go round, and most of us aren't old money families that can live in laps of luxury forever. Gotta work for a living.

[An almost disparaging laugh.] Well yeah that's true for everyone, mate... unless you can't be fucked with all that having money or anything and just do what you want.

A car won't take me out, not for long at least, unless there's silver involved. But it still hurts like hell. [he lets out a noise of amusement.] Yeah well, most of the stuff I tend to want to do are at least easier with money, so...

[Well damn this would be easy.] So that ones true then, silver kills your lot? [Because knowing the man's weakness was important.] And well, suit yourself. I've never had that problem, me.

I won't keel over just with you touching me with something silver, if that's what you're asking. But yes, silver is probably the easiest way to really hurt us.
