Hi everyone, Shepard here.

Just wanted to make sure everyone's aware: the crew has managed to secure an incredibly rare drink from the hosts, and is passing it out amongst ourselves. Trust me, you're going to want to make room for this one! In a word? Life-changing.

[Wait. That was two words. There's the briefest of pauses before she continues, undaunted:]

If you see one of us with the bottle, just flag us down. We're very happy to share! [Insistent, even.

There's a beat, and then with just a hint of a smile:]

And to anyone who's already had a chance to sip this miracle nectar: Nate's probably not going to say anything, but you might find that he already did.

Oh, man. You're the second person on this ship to compare me to him—it's going to become a thing now, I just know it.

[But there are worse fictional characters to be compared to.]

Yeah, I guess there are a few similarities. I don't think I'll ever use a bullwhip, though. I'd probably end up whipping myself in the ass.

Never considered the whip, though? Seemed pretty handy. Guess you don't swing over as many pitfalls as he does.

I've collected a few nicknames over the years. Nothing flattering.

[Many of them profane.]

And wielding a whip is just asking for trouble. I've swung around with a grappling rope a few times, though.

Grappling rope? [Old tech, but it checks out] Not much difference — except you swing one, and snap the other. Seems like you could handle trouble, Dorado.

That said, I'm liking Earthman. Earthman Drake.

Yeah, but this is a better topic. Earthman Drake doesn't really make me stick out, though. A lot of people here are from Earth.

I don't know, it's got a good ring to it.

How about Spaceman Drake? It counts, because you're in space, now.

Oh, please. I'm no knight. You don't need to inflate my ego.

Wasn't aware there was any more room for it to inflate.

Yep. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1581.

Wow. Looks like you've got some catching up to do, then. Think they have knights in space?

Probably not, unless you think bad sci-fi movies are real.

Hey, I'm not jumping to any conclusions. Just because they don't have knights in my space doesn't mean they don't have them at all.

That said, probably best to just leave it at Spaceman Drake — a name practically made for a children's vid series. I'm sure your adventures have all been very family-friendly.
