[ It had, naturally, been Snake's first thought when he'd realized the amount of time that had passed seemingly without anyone's notice. He knows the way his genes are programmed and he knows the accelerated aging that awaits him if he doesn't do anything about it, having experienced that firsthand now.

Once they're back on the Moira, he can't help but take a look in the mirror, searching for any signs of it starting. It's hard to say if he simply looks a year older or if there's more to it than that, but he's quick to respond when Meh's call comes, having anticipated this. ]

[ Snake would like to believe there won't be anyone else showing up on this ship with the same specific problem, but clones are apparently far more common than they should be, so fine. He'll be in charge of that if he has to be.

I just lost a whole year of my life. And was reasonably prepared to have sex with people that I wasn't even attracted to. There are a lot of things I will tolerate being done to me but not that, and not with the claim that it's for my comfort and benefit.

Sure it's not the ship's fault directly. They just crashed here. But I'd rather go find a stationary location again. I feel a hell of a lot better defending the fort than pulling some epic ancient bullshit journey.

Besides, Med Bay is full of capable doctors now. They can handle it.

[ Snake listens to the explanation in silence, and it's not really something that he can argue with either. It may not be the ship's fault this time, but it has been its fault in the past and everyone's bound to hit a breaking point. Even then, Snake would rather not try and fend for himself in the far reaches of space, but if Meh doesn't have a problem with that then more power to her.

He's pretty sure she's got experience with space travel, unlike him, so it makes sense. ]

At that point he's reached the medbay, so he ends the call on his MID and walks right up to Meh, nodding in greeting. ]

So, how do we do this? I just get in the cryo pod?

I'd try to convince you to stay, but... Actually, I think you're doing the right thing.

[If she could convince Meh that there's no need for her to spend the entire rest of her life mired in guilt, she'd try.]

Well, I hope wherever you end up, it's better than this. [She pauses.] I don't know if I want to stay on this ship long enough to go home. Who knows, I might run into you someday.

Just make sure wherever you go, it's for a better life for yourself. You deserve it. Don't choose somewhere that'll make it worse.

It's been a long time since I chose anything for myself. When I do, I'm going to make it worth it.
