We're having a little smidge of a problem in the Med Bay and by smidge I mean there are these little metal shits trying to eat some of the equipment.
[She turns the view to show a couple of the scraplets fighting over something. Hard to tell what it once was, but it's got a cord and it's being gnawed down Lady and the Tramp style between them.]
I need people down her, before they jump on the next course.
OOC: Event log here and plot info here.

Now she's relocated to a (non-metal) medical cot, lying down with an arm over her eyes, blocking out the bright lights and getting to grips with being awake - and with the odd sort of weakness that's stolen through her body.]
This isn't what I expected from medical stasis. [It's hard to sound wry when your voice is crackling through disuse, but right now she needs to talk to somebody. It doesn't feel like she's been asleep for a month, but somehow it feels like she's been alone for that whole time anyway.]

You're dealing with it pretty well, anyway.
[She's impressed by that.]
PS the planet outside will catch fire if you spark anything, so no matches.
no subject
So I guess you didn't hear me screaming when I woke up and saw the--
[But before she can finish, Yewll goes on, and Tali stops...then immediately twists her head to stare, squinting, at the doctor, arm now rather pathetically on her forehead.]
Catch fire?
no subject
Aren't you excited.
And sadly no, there was a lot of screaming going on. Mostly from me as I was trying to break these things.

But that--why would we even-- [Why did they go to any of the bizarre, dangerous worlds they've stopped at.] Why don't we ever go anywhere that makes sense?
[She's silent for a moment, lips pursed in thought, then,] How didn't it burn itself up aeons ago?
[She stopped asking these questions about things that don't make sense to her - all the things that back home just plain wouldn't be allowed by laws of nature or physics or common sense. Now she's just been asleep for a month - she's allowed to be incredulous about literally everything.]
no subject
So, should I put out a call to some friends of yours or are you wanting to do that yourself?
no subject
Ah--no, it's fine, I can call somebody. Err... Is it OK for me to go? There aren't any...any side effects of coming out of stasis early or anything?
no subject
But if you start noticing anything unusual? Be sure to come back. You had a lot of work done.
[Doc Yewll isn't familiar with what Curre did, but she does know they would have to address someone's nutrition intake going awry immediately.]
no subject
I'm still not used to hearing doctors tell me I'm perfectly healthy.
[And, because being told she's healthy means she probably shouldn't lie around pathetically, groggy or not, she sits up properly, swinging her legs off the bed.]
Do you need any help? Picking up trash, fixing the equipment...
no subject
Yeah, I'll need some help. After you've eaten and had time to see if there's any ill-effects from it, and after you've spent time at home.
Alright?
no subject
OK, I'll hold you to that.
[She slides off the bed, standing upright. Her legs feel like they don't know what they're doing, but they'll manage.]
Thanks, by the way. For everything.

Call someone to come get you and get your cute butt some rest. [She pats Tali on the shoulder, genuinely worried about her.]
Phone tags so no formatting!
I'm on it. I'll go rest up after my one-month nap. [Sarcastic as it is, it's of a gentle kind.]
Good luck down here.

I have a crate lid?

Besides, Cyclonus took my sword! What was I supposed to do?
no subject
Squishy people need a little bit of finer detailing when their parts are reattached. This is sort of important for that.
no subject
I wouldn't hurt you guys though! I can be careful!
action;
They're gonna keep coming unless we can surround this room with something that's not metal, they're chewing through everything! [ he even has to give a grunt in frustration as one of them tries to go for his automail arm. ]
Re: action;
I hear you, Slick, but I can't think of what we can use yet. And they happened to catch our resident magicians out and about.

[ ugh he hates these things. they are drawn to metal, though, and he can at least draw some of them. he uses his alchemy to transmute his arm, creating a long, sharp wedge of a blade on the top of his arm. he moves to the scraplets that are visible and attacks them, trying to tear through them with the blade. it works on one, but just gets the other's attention. ]
I can try to get these. There are more out there, though aren't there?
no subject
Which means as soon as someone is down here that doesn't have an artificial arm that can help handle it, I want you out of here. [She thumbs towards the door she just half-ass blocked.]
I know you want to help but they're chasing you. You need to get to safety and not get eaten. Right now there's a giant target on your back, you won't be able to do anyone any good if you lose that arm and you're leading them in here without meaning to.

[a beat.]
Um. Delicately. Away from the important, life-saving machines.
