[He pauses as he types out the text, considering if he should be honest about his intentions or not. It's not like he had any sinister plans or anything. It's just a matter of being private. But he doesn't want to sound too weird or shady. This sounds shady doesn't it??

He types and deletes a bunch of times, unhappy with most of the reasons he tries to give for asking the question. This one makes him sound too weak, this one makes him sound too ignorant, this one just makes him sound stupid. Eventually he settles for...well, nothing. He just gives up and hits send.]

I don't know that it qualifies as a power, but I can use alchemy. Manipulate and transform matter, but I don't think it's really a power so much as it is a science.

that's more like...something you learn, right? as opposed to something you're like born being able to do?

In a way, yeah, it's more about theory and practice, really.

A lot of things. Repairs, fighting, building things... it's pretty versatile, really.

Sort of! It depends on reaction times and what's around me. It has to be organic compounds, otherwise I can't transmute anything. It can get tricky, but it's pretty useful!

i dont think alchemy works the same way where im from. i mean i kind of learned about it in school but its nowhere near what you're describing.

Huh! How does it work where you're from? I know alchemy is kind of hard to explain, but I didn't know it could be much different.

Just depends on how you learn to use it. But I guess alchemy is different everywhere. It's pretty fascinating!

so where did you learn alchemy? did you take it up really early?

My brother and I started learning when we were young. I think I was 7? It's hard to remember. My father studied it, so we did, too.

yeah. i kind of got them not too long ago. i can move things with my mind and fly and stuff.

I don't know, there's always more to learn, but I feel pretty good about it. But move things with your mind? Did that just happen one day? I guess you can't really train yourself for that, can you?

i mean i can train myself for it now but yeah, it's not something you can just...learn. i got it from some glowing rick in a cave.

i have no idea what's up with that. but it is pretty useful yeah. i've gotten to where i can move pretty much anything.
