Miles here. I know our medical staff here is limited, but does anyone on board have any experience with orthopedics? Due to a recent unforeseen medical development, some old physical problems have resurfaced, and I'm in need of a pair of leg braces. I've got brittle bones, and they help keep my legs from breaking quite so easily. I could do without the limp, too. I haven't needed the braces the last few years until now, so naturally, I don't have them here.

I don't expect anyone to make a pro bono offer, but I'd be happy to work out some kind of a trade. Just...sooner rather than later.

Huh. You're like my pilot back home.

['My', she writes, as if she didn't try to kill the guy.]

I had a warship back home. My pilot had brittle bones, used to use crutches a lot. I hadn't expected to find someone with the same condition here. [That last part, at least, is sincere.]

The best in the Alliance. [The pilot or the ship? Yes.] The Normandy's a stealth frigate. Much smaller than this place.

[oh, shit]

He's served under me for a few years but he's hard to describe... [good start to cover your bullshit, girl!] He's very loyal, cracks jokes all the time.

[some reasonable assumptions from the long service with Shepard and the nickname. nice.]

[hell if she knows]

Good enough to get his commission and make it to Flight Lieutenant. Haven't seen him use a gun in a while, though I guess with a [bunch of electrons pretending to be alive] warship VI inhabiting a killer robot for a co-pilot he doesn't need to.

Believe me, they're not Alliance standard either.

What do they have where you're from?

pp me if the words "Imperial Service" wouldn't have appeared in the book and I'll edit /o/

"Imperial Service" - same world the Komarr Report is from, or is that a coincidence?

Plasma sounds fun. There's a program for our omni-tools (like MIDs) that can fire a plasma round, but the only plasma sidearms we have were developed by synthetics, so you don't see a lot of those in use.

Shield generators are standard in our combat armor, and most armor's space rated.

Got any of that stuff here?

In my mailbox last month. Good read while I was stuck in the medbay.

No, but I don't exactly ask people about their mail. ["don't be reassured by me"]

Why?
petridish: (slow them down (you're cannon fodder))

You ignored the rest of my post because you were 'just curious'. Sure.

If those are plasma sidearms, I'm a little jealous.

Cover to cover. It was fascinating.

Seemed like he had the military force to just overpower Komarr, but he took a political route instead. Wouldn't have thought of factoring in economics.

[Not the most trained military mind...]
