[When Frisk comes onto the network this time, it's with a much less agreeable expression upon their face. Their hair is incredibly rumpled, and they rather look like they just slept in their clothing last night.]

You gotta stop hurting people! It's not fair, he already got punished, an' he didn't DO anything, an' he was hurt an'...!

[Frisk's face screws up, and they're clearly holding back on some frustrated tears.]

H-has anybody seen Rinzler? He was...I-I wanna make sure he's okay.

[Frisk whimpers, quietly, and bows their head. They don't like what Peter is doing, but they still do like him. The conflict hurts, makes everything confusing.]

I...I don't know what to do, Chara.

[heart_breaking]

[Chara gathers them close again as comfortingly as they can. There's no way to hide things from Frisk completely, but at least they won't see the dark look in their eye until after it's past their sight, right?]

Don't do anything. I'll take care of it.

[gainedlove]

[Frisk curls up in Chara's arms, little hiccupping sobs shaking their shoulders as everything starts to boil over. They don't know where Rinzler is or what happened to him, and Peter and Alice might be hurt, too, and Chara wants to hurt them--!]

[Words start to get caught up in their throat, tangling all over each other. Frisk tries to speak, but all that comes out is a faint sort of wheeze. They cling on tighter.]

[heart_breaking]

It's okay. [Chara pats Frisk's back, trying to quell that alarming sound. Was there a note of protest in it? 'No Chara Please Leave Them Alone?' Hn.]

[After a few more seconds Chara fishes one of their last chocolate bars from a pocket, awkwardly pulling back the already-opened foil. They don't say a word out loud, simply bumping the candy to the back of Frisk's hand. The offer for them to take it is clear.]

[The patting helps a little, the slight hysterical edge to the whimpers fading away to leave only the helpless misery behind. When Chara pulls away that minute amount Frisk's breath hitches in another sob, but they don't cling too tightly.]

[The offer of chocolate makes them pause, and it's almost funny the way they stare at the bar in vague, somewhat detached bafflement. But they nod and break off a piece, putting it in their mouth to chew and suck on slowly. Frisk can't quite manage a smile of thinks, but they do bump their forehead gently against Chara's own.]

[heart_breaking]

[Chara smiles back, and it almost looks genuine. Chocolate to distract their friend, promises and time for Frisk to calm down--and then Chara will act. With any luck it'll be before anyone involved has time to be warned.]

[There was never any way that Chara wouldn't do anything about this; the only question is what the results will be.]
