Okay, so. I have some matters I'd like to bring up. If you've not met me, I'm Doc Yewll. I'm not always going to be nice to you but I will try to fix what's wrong with you. There are other doctors that have more patience than me, refer to them if you have to.

On to business.

The Med Bay still needs some repair. I'd say with a little help everything could be up and running within a few days but it does mean people with technical parts and anyone in need of surgery are going to hold off for treatment. Useful salvage to that end would be a miracle.

Also that station's infirmary has a neat trick of offering up complete medical histories. If you would be willing, please send me what you can of yours privately. I'm not going to sneak around and try to get it, but if I have a complete medical run down it means I can better help you in the future if related problems come up. Just don't grab anyone else's if that's the case. Just yours. I want absolute information consent here.

But this isn't an easy reply for Pepper to make, by any means. The logic is sound, and of course the medical staff should have access to her records--but. But.]

Would it be sufficient if I were to give you the names of two people who could tell you about my particular history if an emergency were to happen?

[The question might seem odd, but honestly, if something goes wrong with Extremis, there's little the doctors could do for her over the scientists. Beyond that, anything that would send her to the medical bay would be healed, and anything she can't recover from would simply kill her.

Pepper's got enough experience to realize that by now.]

What does the medbay need? Something wrong with the equipment?

[At first, Liquid's ready to send off a private message of his own showcasing his confusion and concern, but decides maybe these issues might be better discussed in person. Just in case. It sounds pretty damn important, after all, and the last thing he needs is to have to deal with leftover FOXDIE or something.]

I'll be right there.

[It doesn't take him that long at all to head to Med Bay, heading in with a purposeful stride.]

Doc Yewll wanted to see me?

You could do that, yeah.

[She can't really hold it against her.]

Whatever it is, it's always best to know all of the information, though. So I don't have to go fishing. I'm very good at what I do. It's actually what I was created for.

So if you wouldn't mind, as those people to tell me everything. It's better than having surprises jumping out of the woodwork.

Just a little cleaning up. Some of our scanners and fine tools are still broken. Some of the stasis pods need repaired.

That sort of thing.

[And she sounds absolutely exasperated with it.]

[She calls from where she's at in the infirmary, pushing a pair of goggles up onto her scaled bald head, and making her way over to Liquid.]

So, you're "Liquid"? Alright. I need you to follow me into a private room.

[And she strides off towards one, walking a lot more assertively than you think a 5'3'' petite woman normally would.]

Believe me; if the situation becomes that bad, they'll tell you whatever you need to know.

[Tony especially, but Pepper would speak to both him and Bruce just to be sure.]

It's not that I don't trust your talents. It's just something of a sensitive matter. But their names are Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, if you've met either of them before.

And I guess I should give you mine too: Virgina Potts, although I go by Pepper.

Cute name. I bet you get all the bad salt jokes, though.

I know Bruce Banner. I helped design and build the cage that held him after Cadacus Primary. Nice guy when he's not feeling moody.

Which, thankfully, is not often.

[He nods in greeting as he watches her approach.]

Yes, that's me.

[Before he opens his mouth again, he follows her, taking note of her gait as he does. This seems like someone who definitely gets things done. That's something he can appreciate. He waits until they get into the room before speaking again.]

So... what's all this about, exactly?

He's a good friend, so I'm inclined to agree. And he did mention the cage; it stood up, even after you contained the Hulk inside of it?

[That's an impressive feat, given what she knows of Bruce's other guy.]

He's got incredible control over it, in most circumstances. What happened on Cadacus Primary was unfortunately beyond that control. [And even though Pepper has only heard of the events in retrospect, she still feels the need to put that out there.]

What are you going to do with it?

[Forgive her, Meh, she doesn't trust anyone on the ship.]

Roger on the scavenging. Give me a wish list and I'll see if I can bring you fun presents back from my trip to prison.

[She's along shortly enough, having realized that the doctor will probably want to poke her even if she messages her. Plus, with a real Shepard apparently now on the ship, she needs to minimize anything that can set her apart as the clone.]

If you need help fixing up the medbay I can help.

[She did fix up his infected arm after all, so it was the least he could do to help. As for medical records.....that could prove a little complicated.]

[ Bruce looks a little different since coming out of his cryo unit, and it's not limited to the short hair and bit of beard he has now. He looks a hint more relaxed too, he smiles more easily, and right now there's a fond expression when he sees a familiar face that he hasn't seen in a long time. ]

If you need help with medbay repairs, I can drop by and see if there's anything I can do. I kind of took the cryo repair under the science department's wing anyway, since Elsa's the only technician and her knowledge is very limited, so I can at least look into that if they need to be fixed in any way.

And I think I'll be going down to the facility and look for any usable parts. If there's anything there that might be useful for the medbay, I'm fairly sure I can find it.

Thanks there, Banner. Having a hell of a time down here. And I really do need to fix some of these arms.

Some of the hair that was on your head has migrated to your face. When did that happen?

So technical parts can't be fixed at all right now? What about -- emergency repair?

[The delicate voice sounds disappointed, and just slightly exasperated. She anticipates a "no" answer, and knows the question is probably stupid, but hope makes her ask.]

My hand was severely damaged by those dreadful little things. I'm fine being banged-up everywhere else, but I'm not much use as a crew member with only one hand...

[Luke can't fault her logic-- she's a good doctor, even if he's still huffy over her lack of bedside manner. So he sends her his medical history as requested.]

[Wincing slightly:] Do you need anything else?

There you go, fresh from the creepy invasive AI! [he doesn't mention the fact some parts are obviously edited.] Looks like my shoulder needs a tune up. It requires a really rare, strange alien artefact we Cybertronians call... a screwdriver.

Doc, some of us don't know what any of this technology is. How're we supposed to even know what's useful or not?

I'll let you know, but I'd rather you take a break, since it's things like your arm we're setting up to fix now.

You and a boatload of other people. They didn't just go after the cybertronians, but all you guys that had a brain and a metal part.

It'll only be a couple of days. But if it's causing you a lot of pain I can bring in back-up to make sure it's done sooner.
