Hello my fellow shipmate captives! I hope we're all enjoying our bizarre beach kidnapping. At least as far as kidnappings go, we have quite the story once we make it back. Or if, if you're feeling cynical today.

[The world's weirdest kidnapping in her opinion at least.]

Anyway, I'm Hawke and I have an incredibly important question for the people on this ship to satisfy my own curiosity. Or I suppose some of the people on this ship. ...Probably.

In the past few days I've gotten such shock and awe [The phrase shock and awe is said in an appropriately dramatic tone!] over the very concept of magic, elves, dwarves, and demons. All of those things I see when I pop my head out my bedroom window back home. Well not demons. Or not usually demons but it did happen once or twice... [Her home is basically the garbage dump of the world, everyone.

ANYWAY. She shakes her head and waves a hand to move the conversation along.]

Fascinating but pointless side information. Magic is the sticking point. And the reason I am making this very important message where my face shows up on the little arm thing. Does anyone else do magic? Blood magic? Elemental magic? Necroph- No, it's Necromancer. Anything at all really? I figure there aren't any templars out to kill mages on this ship so we're at least safe to talk about it for now. That would be doubling down on bad luck.

And on top of that. [She makes a small ball of light appear in her hands and rolls it idly between her fingers.] anyone find that doing magic is suddenly a lot harder than it was back home? On the level of "after casting a few spells, I feel like I'm about to pass out and or vomit"? Sort of thing? Haven't exactly figured how they've done it but they've done it. It's a bit impressive, if not very annoying.

Anyway, magic users, questions, hopefully answers! Maybe we could even start a little club where we drink tea and chat up spells. That sounds delightful.

Oh and I suppose if anyone who's in "shock and awe" about magic, this is the perfect time to get all of your questions out. I really opened up the floodgates.

[Nihlus looks simultaneously sleep deprived and maniacally cheerful. It's probably a bit of a frightening combination for people who aren't too familiar with Turian facial expressions.]

It's DONE.

[Dramatically angling his MID towards a big boxy metal platform... thing, Nihlus keeps babbling.]

And by 'it', I mean the fabricator. If we ever need spare, obscure parts for repair or something, we can can now make things on the fly. It can also break down scrap and reform it into something more immediately useful or a shape better for storage. It can work with a lot of different materials too, unlike the mini-fabs in our omni-tool.

[Yeah, the people who aren't from the Mass Effect universe will probably be a bit confused by that, but Nihlus is too busy trucking on.]

Heck, we can do replacements parts for a lot of things on the fly now if it turns out conventional repair methods won't work. It's got a 3D scanner. Fabrication limit is uuuuh, 1.5 metric meters cubed and scanner limit is the same.

[Mostly human ship. Gotta remember their measuring system.]

If you need to use it, contact either me or our Chief of Engineering, Tali. Preferably me since she's busier being Chief and all. But both of us and the Captains have the keycards and the passcodes.

If you're in engineering and are interested in using it, we can run you through some training. Keycard and passcode privileges will need to be run through the Captains.

Mostly we just don't want people wasting ship resources and rendering giant steel butts and using them to club people or anything.

[VERY sleep deprived.]

Anyways, this is your announcement from Engineering. Leave any questions here.

Nihlus, out.

[The camera flicks on to some blurry glimpses of green and brown. There's dirt and earth, nearby plants, and Med'an's dirty white sleeve, before he manages to straighten it enough to reveal a young tree sitting in a cart in the ship's garden.]

...it's...for peaches. They said it should flower soon, if the garden is warm enough. I bought some other plants, too - [the camera jiggles slightly towards a few large pots nearby] - but this is the biggest thing.

I was going to ask Rosethorn or the head gardener for help, but I can't find either of them. [there's a motion that might be a small shrug.]

I can dig the hole for it, I might just need help....putting it in there.
