[Dutch is sitting in the galley in one of the chairs, her feet propped up on another unoccupied chair. In her hand she holds a beer. There’s a pleasant smile on her face.]

Hello, fellow space travelers. I’m Dutch Velders, your new welding tech.

[She takes a long drink from her bottle of beer, looking off into space for a moment as if she’s thinking about something, but she snaps back to attention with that same smile on her face.]

I don’t suppose anyone came through here with a deck of cards? I find that poker makes for an excellent ice-breaking activity. Not that working side-by-side with you and sharing a room with some of you hasn’t already served as a brilliant ice breaker. Just... When you have the time, we should participate in a leisure activity together.

[Dutch wiggles her eyebrows playfully and just smiles at the camera for a good couple of seconds.]

I am uncertain of how such a device works, but I suppose the idea is simple enough. It is not unlike things I have seen before. Mass communication can often be useful.

More troublesome is this "space" we find ourselves in. I did not think it possible, but stranger things have happened, and clearly will continue to happen. However, despite assurances that we are on a path "home", I wish to return to my own home as soon as possible. I have pressing matters to attend to, and this detour is not at all helpful.

Regardless, if one is familiar with the world of Thedas and the Fade, I would enjoy speaking with you. It would be good to have some grounding.

( Solas is still very disoriented about... well, everything, but the only thing he's figured out so far on his MID is how to use the text function. He's an old man with an iPad, honestly, and is stubbornly refusing to work things he doesn't know how to. So, enjoy him awkwardly using the text function and being terrible at any other kind of response. )
