This is T-O-D, Deputy of Ingress Contingency Coordination. We are entering a level two state contamination across all known regions--I told them we needed to regulate travel, but nooo.... and THIS. Is Ema.

[The camera turns from the round robotic speaker toward a tendril-faced being who looks slightly ill. Or just embarrassed. Those who have traveled with the Savrii's diplomatic groups might recognize the individual at hand as a mid-clearance representative. They might even understand the shy wave of her tentacles, before a high, sarcastic voice cuts off the gesture.]

Ema went out with that fiasco on the asteroid. Ema decided to cut loose. Relax! Why not? It's not like the assessors trusted with the fate of the multiverse thought it was dangerous!

...but. Ema keeps a sensible security system installed around her room. And that's how we were able to discover this.

[The TAB feed switches to a dimmer video with a timestamp in the lower left corner. Almost exactly three days ago-- the night of the celebration on Asteroid 276. It shows Ema stumbling outside of her quarters and vomiting into the hallways of Region Four. The tentacled woman stumbles away in distress, leaving behind a messy coating of red-grey...

...which quivers. Shudders. And crawls offscreen, a rolling, seething mess of flesh--]

Consuming untested phenomenon. Smuggling of a potential biohazard. And this from a planet vetted as safe? I understand many of you biologicals keep parasites of your own, but this is an obvious breach of interuniversal quarantine procedures, and requires immediate assessment and response.

[TOD vibrates in the air, high voice reaching a crescendo of frenzied importance.]

Testing stations are being set up in Burg One of Chioni and all populated regions of Kauto. All inhabitants of Thisavrou who have engaged in Ingress travel over the last two cycles are required to report to mandatory decontamination and debriefing. That's two hundred days for the calculation-challenged idiots out there! If you know of anyone experiencing similar symptoms, provide their names, along with anything they've touched, to the nearest Contingency Coordinator or intermediary. Especially if they haven't reported in!

After scrubbing his hand over his face a few times, Adrien opened up a channel to T.O.D. ]

This is Dr. Adrien Arbuckal reporting in. [ Yes, when in situations like these he defaults to military speak. ]

I have not been off planet, as it happens, but I have some questions about bio-hazard protocols, the inter-universal quarantine procedures and the decontamination processes.

[ He'd run through a checklist of questions, covering standard bio-hazard practices and what could be expected of the decontamination process; just in case he got any questions.

He would have specific questions about the inter-universal quarantine procedure. [ooc: As I am not a doctor, can we squint our eyes and pretend Adrien asked all sorts of painfully detailed medical type questions that basically ended up sounding like he was speaking another language? ]

Finally, at the end of all that jargon, he paused and then inquired. ]

Were any notes, regarding this situation, recovered?

Why, absolutely, Doctor! Please proceed.

[TOD, as it happens, appreciates the formal address. TOD also appreciates having a chance to babble on about regulations and procedures. Adrien's questions are answered with only occasional divergence to half-correct rants about organic life or curious inquiries on Adrien's own experiences-- though for anything too technical, TOD will refer him to the doctors at the nearest testing center. Notes from either the asteroid itself or [ he made a vague gesture in the direction of Ema. ]

For that matter, what was brought back from the asteroid, err I mean in terms of actually declared samples?

Oh! Well, apparently the assessors sent to the asteroid did an entirely abysmal job of documentation, but I was contacted by a participant that claims to have samples of their food. They're headed to a testing center now!

An abysmal job ... [ Adrien began to repeat the words, before his brows furrowed. ]

Why?

I mean, are they just that bad at their jobs or did something interfere with their ability to properly document?

I haven't the slightest idea! Probably the former.

Are you going to execute them?

[stodgebot]

I shouldn't think so!

Why? Do you do that sort of thing?

For gross incompetence?

Why wouldn't you?

Well, it's against policy, for one. And we'd need new assessors.

Well, if you're going to put it that way. I suppose.

Of course it would cut down on transport, but...

You really think it would help?

Probably too late at this point to have any affect.

[ Which really doesn't answer the question, but someone is kinda avoiding that, to be honest. ]
