Even easy conversations don't come all that easily to them; chatting about the lingering aftereffects of irrational magic transformations, hell, that's just not in the cards. They get along fine without talking about most things.

They get along fine, mostly, not talking about the important things, too, but it means now and then they're a little out of sync.

The question gets a snort of laughter.

"Just some asshole." Trying to be funny, maybe, or-- more likely-- just trying to be an asshole, and succeeding. "Said someone'd wanna eat it."
