[When the TAB first flickers to life, all that's visible is an intricately scarred cheek with just the slightest peek of ivory fangs past blue lips. There's the faint sound of something shifting about and finally, Kurt comes into full view.

He's sitting on the edge of an old stone fountain, his tail swishing back and forth behind him, a grin plastered across his face.] I know very little about this holiday, but I've read a few things in an attempt to try and understand better.

[Meaning that he has forgone all the really romantic and couple-esque things about 'Valentine's Day' or whatever they would be calling it on Thisavrou.]

Giving chocolate to someone you like is traditional and I have more than a few friends and other people that I enjoy being around, so ... [He reaches over to pick up a small black box and pops the lid off of it, revealing the candy inside.]

Who wants some chocolate? [A soft laugh follows shortly after his inquiry as he replaces the lid and clutches the box to his chest, smile somehow broadening.]

I'm more than willing to deliver it, too.

[Lea blinks at the feed a moment--this kid is very blue--and then chuckles a little.]

I don't think we've met, but if you're giving away free sweets, I'm more than happy to take some off your hands. I don't really know much about this holiday either, only ever heard about it in passing, but I say any excuse to eat chocolate is a good one.

[Kurt instantly perks at the response, iridescent eyes flickering with elation, his tail beginning to lash almost wildly in the same manner.]

We haven't, but that doesn't mean you aren't welcome to some! I ... [A pause as he turns his head to look next to him, cheeks flushing indigo with embarrassment.] I bought a lot.

[Lea can't help but stifle some amusement behind one hand. Hey, it's good to be enthusiastic about stuff, right? This boy doesn't seem too terribly bereft to be away from home, which is far better than the alternative, he thinks.

[Candy aside, he's a little intrigued. He's never seen anybody quite like this guy before, and far be it from Lea to turn down the opportunity to learn something interesting.]

Where are ya? I can meet'cha someplace; always happy to lend a hand to those overburdened with candy.

Dude, I am totally here for chocolate. You have any idea how long it's been since I had chocolate?

Wait. I can give it to myself, right? Because I am totally my own Valentine.

[He is the most enthusiastic, okay? Kurt prides himself on his ability to make people smile and his passionate attitude and quirky optimism really help with that. Sure, he's not thrilled about being taken away from his home, but ... he's hopeful.

Leaning a bit closer to the TAB, those golden eyes blink thoughtfully as he examines the male on the other side of the screen. Lea's equally vibrant eyes lined in red and crimson hair are rather intriguing to him; he's got streaks of blue throughout his own bangs, but the longer he looks at the camera, the more he's reminded of fire.]

Currently, I'm at my place of residence. We could meet at the Ingress Complex and I could bring you a couple of boxes?

From the sound of your delighted tone, a long time? [Another laugh - light and airy, much like the one before.]

Of course you can! I'm giving it to you, so you can do whatever you please with it.

A really long time. Oh man, being here's been great for my stomach. A guy can only survive on space goo and alien tubers for so long, you know?

You're the best, man. Name's Hunk, by the way!

Space goo and alien tubers? [He's never heard of such things.] Ja, I can imagine it's been nice to have normal food.

Not really, uhm ... Ach, it's nice to meet you, Hunk! My name is Kurt.

You totally are. C'mon, don't be shy. The guy who hands out free chocolate to strangers gets to be the best. It's the rules.

[He grins broadly] Cool to meet you, Kurt! Been here long? I just teleported or whatever in like, a couple weeks ago.

[I'm on mobile at work now I'm going prose til I get home, hope you don't mind. formatting on mobile is a huge pain.]

Lea gives a nod.

"Sure, that's fine," he says, pausing a moment to think. "I only just got here a few days ago, but this device has a map and stuff, so I probably won't get lost."

Probably.

"If I'm not there in like an hour, though, definitely send out a search party," he adds with a grin, obviously kidding.

Mostly kidding.

"By the way, the name's Lea," he says then, giving a little salute. "And you are...?"

Oh, really? I could attempt to find your location, too.

[Technically, he's only been settled on Kauto for a short amount of time, but he's traveled back and forth from there to the Complex on a daily basis when hunting for jobs.

His own grin returns at Lea's comment, though subconsciously, he's worried that the redhead might end up getting lost and possibly hurt in the process; there are tons of things that they are still learning about in these new worlds.]

Oh! [Kurt exclaims, straightening up a bit and crossing his right arm over his chest, his head dipping in a bow.] A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lea. I'm Kurt!

['Shy' is probably his middle name, Hunk.] Well, I mean, if it's the rules ... [His shoulders absently shrug, the blue complexion of his cheeks tinting the faintest shade of violet, but there's a tiny smile attempting to lift his lips.]

We've only recently relocated to where I live about a month ago. Before that, we were exploring caves and abandoned buildings, trying to avoid monsters in the former and sickness in the latter. [He's not complaining about having a chance to settle in somewhere normal for once.]

Have you enjoyed your stay so far?

[Aw, he's blushing! It's cute. Hunk'll have to compliment him more.]

Yeah, I totally heard about some of that! Where I'm from I basically live in a flying castle. And I get motion sick when I'm not piloting. So you can imagine how much fun that was and how glad I am to be on solid ground for awhile. [Another broad grin.]

It's been great, honestly! Signed up as a chef somewhere around here and I live in a house with a bunch of my buddies from back home. Apparently they already had one, so that was super convenient.

Where did you get the candy, blue boy?

Oh, hallo, miss J. [A short pause.] I bought them.

So you didn't make them yourself? [Now that's reassuring.]

Well, since you're in such sharing mood you can bring me some. I trust you know the way to my room?

[He is a blueberry, not a plum, okay? Purple is not a color he wants to turn often ~~but do it anyway~~.]

As in, the castle is constantly off the ground? [How do they even--? Kurt's brow furrows in contemplation, the spade of his tail dipping over his shoulder to hover in front of his chest.] Ja, having motion sickness and living in a floating building would not be ideal.

[Hearing that a newcomer had been able to settle in rather easily makes his grin widen, golden eyes dancing with elation.] It sounds like you've had a decent pace to settle into since your arrival. I'm glad you have some of your comrades here with you!

[But both fruits are equally sweet ~~so he will~~]

It's really cool! Alien tech. Basically the castle can embed itself in the ground or launch off of the planet and travel around in space. Super convenient, but occasionally, uh. Nauseating. [He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly]

Heh. Now talk about the fact that I get motion sick and I was training in a quadrant whose goal was to send me out to explore space on a pretty permanent basis. As an engineer, but still.

Your accent is awesome, by the way. What is that, German?

No, I didn't. Homemade chocolates are not something I have attempted to make yet. [Thanks for the vote of confidence, J.]

I do, ja, but ... [He turns way from the camera, clearing his throat before bringing his attention back to J.] I'll be there shortly.

What, they're sellin' normal ones too? You had any yet?

Das ist ausgezeichnet! [Well, if that doesn't give away what the accent is. Seems like he got a bit excited at the idea of mobile castles.] Not your motion sickness, but the technology of that castle ...

I can see how that would be rough on you. Maybe you should ask them to invent some new alien medicine for you to help with your queasiness, if they are going to be sending you out on so many trips.

M-My accent? [Oh, he stuttered; Hunk had noticed his distinct pattern of speech, though. Exclaiming something in German might have solidified it, but the other male had pointed it out before then.] ... thank you and it's German, ja!

I bought them this morning on my way back from job hunting. I've eaten a few from a box of my own.

I don't know what that means, but I'm guessing it's something about the castle being cool? If so it totally is. I bet I haven't even seen half of what it can do. It can shoot lasers.

Dude, that's brilliant. It's a brilliant idea. I wonder if I could make some kind of soothing soup in the meantime. Not a lot of mint or ginger in space.

[His grin widened. This kid is seriously adorable.] I like it! I sound like your regular run of the mill American, but my parents are from Samoa and they have pretty serious accents. Makes me feel at home, even if it's from a different part of the world. Accents and spam musubi.

And you don't feel weird or anything? Not even any diarrhea?

My apologies. Sometimes, when I get a little over-zealous ... [He doesn't have to spell it out, right? His little display only moments ago was pretty self-explanatory.] I said that is was excellent and I must admit, lasers do sound pretty amazing.

Soup or tea. I'm not sure how you would make them, but when I was younger, my mutter would give me peppermint sticks or ginger lozenges when my stomach was upset. Although, I think the drops were candies.

[Normally, mentioning his mother would make him feel forlorn, but talking about home remedies with Hunk only makes him glow.] I believe you will be the first Samoan I have met, Hunk! It sounds comforting, though I've never heard of spam musubi.
