[ Had she stopped by his room aboard the Moira it would have been a vastly different picture. Tony's various projects had always dominated every flat surface, and quite a bit of floor space while the doctor's side of the room had ... been pretty much overrun by Tony's stuff.
The one corner that Adrien kept strictly to himself, his bed, might have given her a hint of what he would do with a home. For a man who barely slept more than a handful of hours at a stretch, his bed had always been cozy. Piled high with pillows, blankets and luxurious sheets, it had been a peaceful haven; a soft hideaway that was, perhaps, at odds with the hard man who inhabited it.
Or -perhaps- an indicator that the 'hard' man wasn't quite who he tried to portray.
Regardless, the house was comfortable and cozy. While tidy, there were definitely hints of a 'lived in' atmosphere, rather than a display case where you were afraid to sit for fear of leaving a hair out of place. Oddly designed to be welcoming, from a man who spent so much of his time snarling to keep people at a safe distance.
Windows stood open, letting fresh air and the sounds of ... whatever lived outside in the orchard in to fill the house with a backdrop of noise. Adrien clattering about in the kitchen was perhaps a bit discordant to the peaceful noises of nature but ... at least it smelled good?
Looking up from where he'd been peering in the deep pan, he didn't smile -he never smiled- but there was a welcome in his blue eyes. Though they were pinched at the side, an expression of his distress over the missing bahari. ]
Ha. Ha. [ Adrien remarked, though there was no heat in the words; he could understand what she meant. ] I'd ask if you had any trouble finding the place but I suspect you'd almost rather I'd made it more of a challenge.
[ As he spoke, he waved her in, motioning towards one of the comfortable bar chairs set up around the island. Despite his stress over Courser's disappearance, there was a definite sense of welcome, that was extended to her specifically. Though he didn't tend to let people in close, once he did drop some of the walls, there was a thoroughness to his manner that was all inclusive.
