[ With the situation that they're in right now, people need to try and find morale boosts wherever they can. If that comes in the form of kittens, then why not? Wash is proving himself to be just as much the rookie that Snake had pinned him as, but everyone has to start somewhere. So far he's worked out just fine as a roommate. And animals, even ones as small as these, will provide some body heat.
