[ This is not Sam's first kidnapping, nor is it his first time in space. He'd calmly and coolly tried fleeing the ship, but his Nova helmet for some reason refused to navigate a course back home, and he didn't exactly want to jump without knowing where he was going. So he'd accepted the contract, and moved into his quarters for the time being.

is anyone else missing stuff? i don't mean random stupid stuff like shoes (but i am missing those too), i mean important stuff that was DEFINITELY in your pocket but isn't there anymore.

Id be pretty upset if I lost my guild membership identification considering how hard it was to get in the first place!

oh yeah of course i've never been to space before. i've never even left my town.

its crazy, right?? I hardly ever left my hometown too until a few weeks ago and BAM now Im flying through the stars! Ive never even thought something like this was possible!

I mean Ive seen magic firsthand but even this seemed impossible

earth wind water fire things like that

theres magic guilds where I come from but theyre almost impossible to get into and most of the guildmembers are really stuck up about it

but Ive met a few cool ones here and there

oh cool. we don't have anything like that where i'm from. we've got mutants and stuff but i don't think there's like real magic.

Magics pretty great. A girl I was traveling with before I came here explained a lot of it to me. Basically, magic can only be taught to those who show an elemental affinity, and even then, almost every person who shows an elemental affinity can only cast one type of magic. Occasionally, prodigies are born with two elemental affinities, but theyre so rare its almost unheard of. Either way the traditional schools of magic are like a compass with the four points being wind water earth and fire. Then theres the other four points in between where you get lightning blast wood and ice. Supposedly theres two other types but apparently theyre only rumors.
