[Dutch appears on the screen looking unusually happy considering everything that's happened to her and her fellow crew members. Her hair, with the exception of a couple patches of long, blonde strands, has turned into wispy strands of glass. Her favorite spot on the ship has even been demolished. Dutch has every reason to be down in the dumps, but there's a smile on her face.]

Hello, residents of the Moira. I was wondering if any of you might be down for a few hands of twenty-one when you have a spare moment?

[She holds up part of a deck of cards, fanning them out. If she can't have alcohol, then at least she can at least have her other vice.]

It doesn't have to be for bets. It can be for funsies.

[Her eyebrows raise slightly.]

Twenty-one? I can't say I'm familiar, but I've been known to enjoy a hand of cards now and again.

[ The response is accompanied, of course, with a perfectly charming smile. ]

It's an easy enough game to teach.

[She shows the cards.]

The cards have numbers, yeah? You get two cards at first, then you can choose whether you get another or stay with what you've got. The goal is to get as close as you can to a sum of twenty-one without going over. Whoever is the closest wins the hand. I have chips we can play with.

[Dutch flashes an equally charming smile.]

You game?

[ He arches his brows as she explains it, nodding slowly as he breaks into a small chuckle. ]

Simple in concept, at least.

[ And not at all unlike aspects of other games he's played. ]

Well, why not? No better way to try and learn something new.

[She smirks a little.]

There are a few other rules, but I can teach those as we go along. You can split your hand, for instance, or double down. I'll explain that when we get to it. By the time we're done you'll be an expert!

[Dutch's smirk grows into a grin.]

I'm Dutch Velders, by the way.

An expert? We'll have to see how well I pick all that up first.

[ He may be, perhaps, a bit less concerned about that than he lets on. Not that it shows, with his own smile back. ]

[She gives a tiny bow of her head.]

Do you have a specific place where you'd like to play this game? Anyplace with a table or flat surface will do.

[ And he inclines his head in turn, his grin brightening. ]

Oh, I don't know. To be honest, I'm still missing the bar.

A kindred spirit! The bar was my favorite spot on this ship. I'll miss it dearly.

[She chuckles a little bit.]

I suppose that makes me sound like a lush.

[ He laughs softly before settling into a lopsided little smirk. ]

Given that it was mine as well, I will graciously withhold any judgement in exchange for the same.

[Dutch grins and nods her head.]

[ And then, he quirks a brow. ]
