[ The screen blips on and there's a blonde haired woman looking at the screen with a furrowed brow, kind of like she's not sure if she's got the hang of it yet after going through the device multiple times and being fairly tech-savvy— or so she'd like to think of herself. ]

Oh— hey! Great, this does work. [ On a mumble she adds to herself: ] Of course it would, Fisher, why wouldn't it work for it if it's been working for everyone else?

Anyway! This is just a short uh, introduction: name's Elena, great to meet you all. Looks like I've been assigned as the ship's Climbing Instructor, if there's anyone who's interested in such a thing or enjoys doing it on the side themselves. I'm looking to get the lessons started later this week, and my mailbox is open anytime for sign ups.

You don't have to be a professional or know a single thing about the hobby, I'll show you the ropes. Ha..haaaa... get it? Cause climbing involves... Yeah, never mind. That was lame, but I only have one person to blame for puns that fail 30% of the time.

As a heads up, I've never once used ropes or climbing gear and equipment. It's been a free climb and jump at your own peril kind of thing, mostly self taught on the go. At least it's good for building your upper body strength?

Also— pictures! [ Her camera comes up into a view, a damn nice SLR. Thanks be to the captains and unlimited credits. ] Some of you might've seen me around down planet side with a camera; floppy white beach hat, Jackie O shades. The purpose behind that was I do photography on the side back home, also as a hobby. If I offended anyone, made you suspicious, or you want me to delete your picture, or— hey— maybe you want me to send the shots to you— again, my mailbox is wide open for those requests. I'm also taking requests for possible future photoshoots. I just don't know if that's a...thing people might find interesting on a ship.

Besides whoever was in the Medbay when I arrived— sorry, I can't remember who did my scans— who else do we have on the ship who counts as an actual physician?

I'm asking because I don't think my scans were done right. Or they didn't finish properly.

Also, I don't know if I'll get many responses but it's worth a shot— anyone on-board have any experience with shrapnel related injuries? Doctors aside of course.

And I have experience with shrapnel. We have an unfortunate event called "razor rain" back home. It's about as fun as it sounds.

"Razor rain". Sounds...fun. I'm sorry you have to deal with that, it really doesn't sound fun at all.

I've been talking to a doctor by the name of Adrien Arbuckal. I wouldn't be opposed to getting a second opinion or seeing a female doctor on a regular basis if things get worse.

Always better to tell more than one of us. I try to keep things confidential as possible. [She won't even turn in people who lie about their identities or are injured in fights.] So if you need me I'll be around.

I'm okay with you discussing it with him since he's the only other one in the Med Bay I've seen about this.

But the trouble is mostly sharp aches, dull pain. Trouble sleeping. Digging sensation. A few years back I was involved in a hand grenade explosion, I was close enough that it was right in front of me.

From my understanding, more of the bigger pieces were successfully pulled free some time after, but there's bits still remaining. My scans when I came on board weren't complete. Dr. Arbuckal confirmed it earlier.

Why weren't they complete? They should have been.

[She's going to be annoyed with whoever took them/whatever piece of machine malfunctioned since contagious diseases getting on has proven a very slight issue and she's hoping not to be a larger one.]

We also had someone on board with heavy shrapnel damage so I have an anti-inflammatory already designed. It could be adjusted easily. [She customizes her medications, which is both a bonus and a pain. At least she's pretty sure as long as the gardens are healthy, people won't be wanting for medicines.]

It had something to do with the intake, or that's what Adrien had said. I didn't question it.

Anti-inflammatory? Like advil?

A little stronger than advil. It's something to take the edge off.

And anti-rejection medication? Does that stop the shrapnel from burrowing inward, outward, or altogether?

For now it won't. That will probably require surgery, but I've got more surgical drones under construction. I'll talk to Dr. Arbuckal about the best ways to make use of them.

This is to help in the meantime.

Anti-inflammatory. If it'll help take the edge off then I'll take them. Gladly. Also if the medbay has a hot water bottle to spare or a heating pad, I'll gladly accept that as well.

Will the drugs help me sleep? As in, will they knock me out. That would be a bonus. Sleep through the pain.

Luckily I'm a one dose sort of woman. Because it's customized it's much easier to give it to you in one pill.

I really appreciate that, thank you. Is this going to be something like a prescription? You give me 30 days worth and I come back to refill when I need?

I'm not familiar with how this works on a ship. I didn't think we carried a pharmacy.

Med Bay unfortunately functions as every medical department. Fortunately, that's what my clinic did in my last location, so I'm used to it.

I'll opt for weekly so you can come in and we can keep track of any continued damage.

Weekly is good. Same with the check ups. Honestly, I'm good with anything. As long as I can keep the pain under control so it doesn't affect my climbing lessons and overall quality of life.

Back home, I just took advil a lot of the time. I never visited the doctor for proper medication.
