Backdated to 4/5 -- Transporter PSA; video + text;
[The feed comes on to a strange rattling sound and the sight of a black, angled mask. Circuitry burns in a steady red-orange, two streaks on each side of the helmet and a clustered tetra-amino underneath. While it's the first time he's posted a video to the network at large, Rinzler's been prowling the ship for months now, and might be recognizable by the lights alone, though he's hardly the sort to stop and chat up strangers.
Case in point. The noise persists, an odd rumbling whir that brings to mind either broken machinery or a very insistent cat, but there's no speech. When words finally come through, it's as lines of text, scrolling in beneath the video.]
ID: Rinzler; ship-function: Transporter Supervisor.
Providing update.
Flight Deck facilities upgraded. Additional data available on public screens for flight tracking and pilot contact.
Additional update: system for transporter use.
[The camera moves, focusing after a moment on one of the Flight Deck displays. A list of names, jobs, and contact information is visible—only eight names, at the time of posting.]
Assigned transporter crew responsible for import/export of personnel and cargo.
If private use of transporters requested by other Moira crew, flight testing required. Will be added to access list once proficiency is demonstrated.
Training also available on request.
[The camera returns to the masked figure, helmet now angled slightly critically at the display. That is the most words Rinzler has ever had to word. Ever. But he thinks he managed to format it to user standards?An attempt was made. One more line flashes across the screen before the feed goes dark.]
Contact for additional queries.

Thorne here, requesting a flight assessment and training if necessary. Experienced with similar systems back home, mainly combat drop shuttles and orbital or sub-orbital flight.
text;
Request accepted.
Transporter Supervisor or Pilot required to perform assessment. Forwarding current shift listings and contact data; updates available on Flight Deck displays.
[And Bel will be receiving a short list. It's mostly spaced out to have one of the assigned Pilots (or Rinzler) available at all times, but due to a bizarre user custom of "days off", there are a couple shifts covered by the Technicians alone. Plan for Not Then.]
video
sends back a neat list of where their own available time intersects with those of the pilots, with Mondays highlighted as the best option.]
Will this training be specific to the ship's transporters, or are their other vehicles to learn as well?
text;
Transporters. Other vehicles registered to individuals.
[Technically there's one exception, but given how much of its function is currently unknown, the Reliant isn't really on the table for public training. Rinzler scans over the return data, noting the selected day without concern.]
Acceptable. Report to Flight Deck during second or third shift, contact transporter crew on duty.
[The later millicycles tend to be busier, but also have spare crewmembers onsite for that reason. Rinzler specifically, for third shift.]
video
Understood. I'll be there. [had been curious about crosstraining for said vehicles, to avoid situations where nobody knows how to pilot something left behind, but transporter crosstraining is a good start.]
Do you also handle ground transport?
permatext;
The question's not a bad one, but Rinzler can't offer much past an offscreen shrug. Would that qualify as Moira transport craft? Maybe. But...]
No public-access ground transports available.
[Unless you count the cargo loaders and no thank you.]
no subject
Do you want any? I've found myself in possession of a motorcycle, and it's a tad large to keep in my cabin. I'd be willing to make it available for public access as long as someone makes sure it always returns to its berth.
no subject
Of course it doesn't fit. There's an offscreen skip of exasperation. Have users never heard of compressing their data?]
Functional?
no subject
[they have now, but too late for this bike, apparently. really, really envies that baton jetplane of yours, Rinzler.]
no subject
If functional, can store.
[It's not really his area of interest, and without more, there's not a lot of point setting up a system. But if passengers ask after ground transport, Rinzler supposes he could offer the option.]

[and Bel does show up on the upcoming Monday, wheeling this monstrosity. it powers up via a customizable fingerprint pad, which Bel has unlocked for general use, and appears to run on electricity rather than material fuels, but Bel wasn't going to test it in the corridors.]
