[Using the MID when you are a pony is no easy feat, but Rarity manages through determination and persistence. Having magic doesn't hurt either, Rarity has no idea what she'd do if she was forced to use her own hooves. This place is definitely not made with ponies in mind. When she speaks, she tries to make it very clear through her dialogue alone that she's a very dignified lady of value, and therefore should be treated as such.]

Greetings darlings! My name is Rarity, and yes, I am an unicorn, and I have a couple requests of you! First off: it's important to tell you that I was a dressmaker back where I come from, and dressmaking is very much my passion. However, I haven't had much opportunity to make dresses of late, and it makes me very unhappy. I would very much like to get back into my old business, so I would absolutely love it if people would donate any extra fabric they have on them, as I have very little myself. Obviously I have looked in the cargo bay and found some items of value, but I'm hoping that one of you might offer something a bit more, erm, colourful.

Secondly, I would like to learn more about making dresses for, ah, your shape and sizes. I'm almost certain I will eventually figure it out by myself, but I will need a few models and one or two pon- er, people, who are willing to give me a few pointers. I am afraid I cannot compensate any of you in any proper way, but you will be allowed to keep whatever clothes I make for you.

Thirdly, I am dreadfully sorry for not introducing myself sooner, but I am your Performance Arts Officer. As I am not one to slack on my duties, I will consider putting together some sort of event in the future. Something lovely, dazzling even! I have so many ideas! Dances, Balls, musical shows, but I would like to know what you think, as it will be you who will be enjoying them.

Anyway, that is all I have to say for now, thank you very much for your attention.

[Okay, so that's definitely a unicorn. And it's talking on the network. That's two noteworthy things right there that could rightfully and understandably floor an ordinary person.

Not Robin, though. She's seen some weird stuff in her life, and she isn't particularly interested in unicorns as a general rule. No, it's the mention of making dresses that really gets her attention. Making them, modelling them, and getting to keep some of them.

Good lord, this little girl is excited. It's clear from the expression on her face as she slams down the video button on her MID.]

When the unicorn asks her name, it takes Robin a second to respond with her fake one.]

So what kind of dresses do you like to wear, dear? Do you like a certain colour or pattern, or would you prefer that I exercise my own judgement?

Um. I'm not sure - I only ever had hand-me-downs back home, my cousin was the one who got to wear the new stuff.

[ Which isn't to say that Robin never wore them, bbut never for long and she'd get in trouble if she got caught doing it. ]

My favorite color is purple, though. Does that help?

[ Starflight was happy to donate some of his extra fabric. He had a small pile bunched together on his bed when he replied. ]

I have an extra uniform you can have, though I'm sure you have plenty of black fabric already, but maybe you can do something with the gold stripe? I've also got some....I think they're socks? They light up. [He pulled the uniform out of the way to show a pair of large, christmas socks.]

Plus I have these, but it would be a shame to cut them up, I think. [ He moved the camera to show a crate full of beanie babies in a whole plethora of colors. ]

It would be a shame.

[Rarity says, her mind lighting up with possibilities as she stares hard at the little toys. Now, Rarity isn't in the business of destroying toys, but with a deeply unfortunate lack of proper material, she'll have to do what she can.]

All of that would be absolutely lovely dear, and I will take whatever you're willing to give me. I promise I will treat them with the utmost respect.

I was planning on giving them to Sun- to my friends back home, but I can give you a few of them if you'd like.

Do you have a workshop like Harry, or some place I should drop these off? Or should I just bring them to your room some time? What are dresses, anyway? Some sort of uniform?

Oh dear, I wish I had a workshop. For now I'm just working in my room, but I will definitely have to request my own space for my art. Dressmaking can become untidy after a while, and I wouldn't want to inconvenience my roommates.

And dresses are a type of clothing my dear! They are made for beauty and to catch the eye and envy of everyone who sees you! I personally view dresses as a way for one to express themselves in a refined and elegant way.

Have you talked with the tailor yet? Harry Hart? You might be able to use his work room if you ask nicely.

Ah, that makes sense. Dragons normally don't bother with using cloth like that. It's too flammable, and treasure is more impressive anyway. I've gotten a few pieces since I came here, I can't wait to show them to my friends. [He sounds very pleased about this. All dragons love treasure, and before the Moira he'd never had any of his own.]

[Hmm. Jasper rubs her chin thoughtfully.]

You make cloaks? Might be, ah, a good way to ease yourself into something more complicated.

Cloaks aren't terribly difficult to make, but they are excellent for decoration and such.

[Rarity says, thinking hard about it. The way humans and such are shaped, she thinks that cloaks might even work better for them than ponies. How strange!]

You're absolutely right! I will have to make one or two to get me started. Since you made the suggestion, do you mind coming to my room and trying a few of my designs on? I promise it won't take long.

[She says, carefully not specifying which designs Jasper might try.]

Sure, why not. You mean right now?

[Jasper doesn't have a hell of a lot else on her plate... And she has kind of been missing having a cloak.]

I'm a tad bit busy at the moment, but how about in an hour or two? I promise I should be done by then.

[Rarity has a few things to set up after all, and the less people around for that, the better.]

Might I have your name? I feel dreadfully rude for not asking for it earlier.

How about altering a uniform into more casual clothing? Is that something you could do?

I can do that, yes! Just bring it to Room #002 on the Moro deck and I will be happy to fix it for you.

I hope you don't mind if I take some artistic liberties with the uniform. I find them all so dreadfully boring.

As long as you can make it comfortable enough to lounge around in I don't mind.

Why, yes! I adore matching the right person with the right dress. I would go as far as to say that it is my one true calling.

It's always lovely to hear when one has found their true calling! I hadn't an idea of mine until I'd taken up my first hunting trip. Ah... so many fond memories.

[...You know, Fiora seriously considers whether she should respond to this. It was a chipper talking tiny horse with a horn on its head. But the little horse said she made dresses, and... well, it's something that's been on her mind lately.

So finally, she decides to reply. If people can handle the fact that she's basically a walking metal contraption with a human head attached to it, Fiora can suck it up and deal with a friendly little horse.]

I would be interested, if it isn't too much trouble. They gave me those uniforms, but I can't wear any of them.
