Hey everybody, it's your friendly neighborhood barista, here to announce some new additions to the cafe!

We now serve...

[She pans over a blender and several bags of frozen fruit.] Fruit smoothies!

[She pans over a bunch of haphazardly unpacked snacks covering her counter, including assorted vacuum-packed sandwiches, chips, packaged cookies, chocolate bars, dried fruit, beef jerky, cans and bottles of soft drinks...] A variety of snacks that I don't have to bother the kitchen for! Though I still expect those baked goods, Loki, it's not a real cafe without muffins.

And! For your increased convenience... [She pans over a colorful selection of travel mugs.] Drinks to go that are less likely to spill! But seriously, if you don't bring them back you don't get to borrow another.

Also, um, I got this stuff... it says 'Dextro' on it, and I did ask for some stuff for Turians, so I'm guessing it's for you, Nihlus. Come show me what to do with it and I'll make you a drink.

So, that's it! Come enjoy your widening menu and thank me for working so hard for you all.

[Yes, she sounded so self-assured this time. Brilliant! ...Though after a moment she comes back on the camera looking much less confident.]

Okay, that's not it. I also kind of wondered, y'know, since I got a lot of makeup last month... uh, doesn't anyone want to start, like, a makeup club or something?

[ Robin should be at work right now. Instead, though, she's down in the cargo bay, carefully studying the giant slab of stone that arrived from her own world.

When this post shows up on her MID, Robin rolls her eyes at most of it. Honestly, it's ridiculous enough that this ship has a barista. Do they really need spill-proof cups and smoothies?

The last bit is what actually gets her attention though. She activates the camera on her own, the look of intrigue and hopefulness on her face is something that Allison probably hasn't seen on her before.]

What sort of things do you do at a makeup club?

It's nice to see that look of interest on Clover. She's so serious a lot of the time, pranking skeletons aside.]

Oh, you know. Makeup things? Putting it on, trying different things, sharing tips... That sort of stuff.

[Well excuse her for having only ever been on real ships. The kinds that don't have baristas at all, let alone spill-proof cups. Smoothies are... plausible, she guesses, if only as a means to prevent scurvy.

That's beside the point, though, because Robin is so into this makeup club idea.]

Do we have to have our own makeup to join? I don't really know much about it - I always wanted to try it, though.

[Granted, she's a little young to be applying makeup every day, but she's a bit young for a lot of things she's perfectly capable of doing, so it's not like that'll stop her.]

[Robin should get a load of the cruise ships back on Allison's Earth if she thinks barista are excessive.]

Don't sweat it, I got way more makeup than I need last month, so I'd like to share it around.

[True. Let's be real, though, she's mostly just mad about it because she has to be here. If a ship like this one were something he had just happened upon, it would have just been an amusing curiosity.

It's just that the fact that she was captured and brought here against her will sort of sours most of the experience for her.

Makeup, though? It'd take a lot more than this to sour the idea of being pretty in the girl's mind.]

[Man, Nihlus has been desperate for anything that isn't water or alcohol right now. At this point, he'd even drink some of Saren's awful health teas just for a change of pace.

He appears at the cafe a few minutes later, tapping on the counter to announce his arrival.]

She sets the box in front of him.]

I have no idea what this is, so I'm sorry if it's not tasty.

[She blinks at the request.]

Sure? I'm no exactly, like, an art expert or anything. [Her primary artistic interest was in pictures of her favorite characters kissing.]

[Honestly, Nihlus has been called weirder things and it's better than being called 'Kryik' all the damn time. Or 'Stripy'.

He leans over the counter and looks through the box, flipping through the assortment of different little packages.]

This looks like the standard affair you'd find in a Citadel dextro cafe. I wonder if that's where this is from?

[Did they just zorp them out of an actual cafe?

Nihlus frowns a little at that in thought, picking out two packets. Turning back to Allison, he smiles.]

I just want a second opinion on something pretty silly.

No clue. I feel like it's better not to ask where the stuff comes from. Especially since there's not much to be done about it.

So how's this stuff prepared?

[She holds out a hand, ready to take the packets.]

Oh, well, silly I can do, no problem.

Yes, yes, as long as I have ingredients you may have muffins- or as close to them as I can get, given what I have to work with.

[He shrugs, eyes rolled up in exasperation. He's a god of mischief, not a god of housecrafts, and that he can cook at all is rather miraculous, really.

After a moment, he unrolls his eyes, expression falling to something more neutral.]

I know something of make-up, but mostly as a disguise skill. Really, you're better experimenting to find something you're happy with.

Good! [Allison tries to look imperious for a moment, but it quickly dissolves.] But seriously, thanks for all the hard work you and the kitchen staff do. I appreciate it.

[She looks a bit awkward at the second bit.]

I mean, I already know what I'm happy with day-to-day, I just figured it might be fun to get together with other makeup fans and mess around...

...I'm glad someone does, then. If you've more specific requests, I might be able to approximate them, given a little experimentation time.

[Appreciation is about the fastest way to Loki's slightly better side, really. There is no particularly good side, though.]

Oh, uh, I dunno. Talk about make-up, I guess. Try it on. Give each other makeovers. Something like that. I didn't really... Think about it that much...

[The smile fades a little as he nods contemplatively at her makeup answer.]
